Hey, so I have lost all respect for HD. Much of it is due to a comment she made in a recent article about last night's game:

It’s unfair to come down too hard on NC State’s offense this early because it’s not like the Pack was facing Cardinal Gibbons, the high school down the street. This was another level of athleticism you don’t usually see in the ACC. It’s what separates the two conferences as it did today, and NC State might not see anything like it again this fall.
I saw a few people posting comments in the comment section to oppose her opinion of this. But I saw plenty more SECers talking about SEC dominance. So I decided to post a comment as well, but they didn't accept my comment even though it was not derogatory in any way. I just talked about how ESPN has an SEC bias and always talks about SEC speed. I have posted on ESPN multiple times and have never been denied until now. So I retried, waited 30 minutes, and my post was still not up.

I recently saw that HD is having a live chat. I will be on there to talk to her about her comments in the article and her extreme SEC bias even though she is an ACC blogger. Hopefully some of you can join me. Here is the link for the 2PM live chat:

You can go to that link to post questions before the live chat begins.

Im so tired about hearing they won because of the SEC speed. All USCe had was 1 touchdown that came from a fumble both teams played on the same level "crappy" and the only difference was the turnover.

So, how many Stingtalkers want to go chat with her and hit on her?

Let's run a train on HD. The more the merrier. Just continuously ask questions about SEC speed and how awesome the SEC is and how on earth can an ACC team even compete with the SEC speed because they will never see anything like South Carolina's speed in the ACC conference because that's what separates the two conferences.

Ask her about the 2 wins we had over SEC last year and the 3 we will have this year.

Also point out ACC had a winning record over 'SEC speed' last year.

Make an ESPN account if you don't have one and come join us. I want to bombard that woman with questions about how awesome the SEC is so that she is forced to confront the issue.

Or just ask her if all ESPN employees are under contract to boost the SEC and tear down the ACC.

Then just say "Or maybe we just can't compete with all that ESSSS EEEE SEEEE SPEEED"

My contribution....I'm really curious why she said that, she's usually pretty devout in pointing out how good the ACC is and how we're only a few years and about 1~2 teams stepping up to be on the same level. So to make that comment she did seems VERY out of character.

I'm curious what it is that makes Heather think that the SEC has 'another level of athleticism that the ACC doesn't normally see'? Are their players on steroids? Am I incorrect in my memory of the fact that the ACC puts a lot of players into the NFL, pretty much on a level with the SEC? Perhaps she's talking about top 25 defenses, but as I recall there, several ACC teams make that list year in and year out as well.
So Heather, what is the basis for your comments that the ACC doesn't see 'that level of athleticism' very often? ESPN bias towards the SEC only? Or is there some magic stat you can pull out of a hat to validate it?

I would hold up on this outburst because ACC might really suck this year if VT gets manhandled saturday. Until we beat VT out of the coastal title, VT is still the favorite to win ACC with their record, so the ACC league favorite getting manhandled won't look so nice.

Just be patient for now, ACC got beat thursday and we have to take the **** until we beat them. You can't deny that USC kept NC State out of the end zone, while NC State couldn't keep them, fumble or not. Those suckers USC cheated to deny a NC State touchdown on the punt, but I think USC could have answered back with how they looked on their final drive getting a first down with the throw to end the game.

I think she is just posturing since her crush Russell Wilson didnt blow the doors off of USCe... she had to justify it in her mind somehow and it ended up on her blog

I just think that it was a horrible example of the "superior athleticism." If she wanted to use an example of superior athleticism, use the VT Alabama game as an example if Alabama wins. But South Carolina winning a mistake-ridden, ugly-to-watch, squeaker over NC State, a questionable team in the ACC is a horrible case-study to tout SEC superiority.

ESPECIALLY when the defense wasn't that terrific, but the QB was slow to escape pockets, and receivers dropped well placed balls, but I guess maybe the receivers got scared of the superior athletes around them.

it is rumored that SEC speed almost lost to Chuck Norris in a foot race, almost.

Ask her if SECSPN has a responsibility to air facts during negotiations with the ACC for their next contract.

Ask her how fast the SEC Bulldog's looked running after Dwyer and Jones last year?

Here's a tough one:
Ask her if NCS hadn't fumbled away 7 points (i.e. take them back), what the score would be in a 7-3 game.

I've never heard of a more planned attack in broadcasting in my life.

p.s. To the VPI guy, Clemson lost big last year and the ACC still won more than the SEC. Who cares?

Ditka vs. the SEC. Who wins?

regular sized Ditka or one-inch tall Ditka?

Can someone ask her how many hours a day she spends buffing her fivehead?
