Hell, Ukulele could be their QB and they'd be in the same spot. The Bennett inclusion does highlight the sad state to which that award has fallen. The qualifications to be a finalist these days are essentially being the QB of a 1-loss team / undefeated team.
Probably 30+ college QBs who could have navigated uga to the playoffs with that roster/schedule.
Jeff Sims?Hell, Ukulele could be their QB and they'd be in the same spot.
Jeff would only have to get to game 7 before he quits, so....maybe.Jeff Sims?
Absolutely. Most of the time, Stinson was standing in the pocket just playing pitch and catch. UGAgs DL and OL should win the Heisman.Jeff Sims?
Stinson would not be in the top 20 players I would want from ugag.Absolutely. Most of the time, Stinson was standing in the pocket just playing pitch and catch. UGAgs DL and OL should win the Heisman.
In fact, a good indication is: who would be the very first player you'd take off their team to put on our team?
#88 DT is by far the best player on their team.
Yep. Let's hand Ron Dayne the ball 50 times against Our Sisters of Pain and Mercy so he can break the career rushing mark.the whole world went to hell in a hand basket when that fat bastard from WI stole it from JoeHam.
Not arguing that he wasn’t, but losing to UVA derailed his win.Yep. Let's hand Ron Dayne the ball 50 times against Our Sisters of Pain and Mercy so he can break the career rushing mark.
Joe Ham was easily the better player.
If we had beaten FSU, I think he winsNot arguing that he wasn’t, but losing to UVA derailed his win.
I don’t think that loss hurt him…in fact that game started the conversation (nationally) about the Heisman. If we had beaten FSU, I think he wins
Funniest thing I heard is that kirby was begging him to come back. The Bennett inclusion does highlight the sad state to which that award has fallen. The qualifications to be a finalist these days are essentially being the QB of a 1-loss team / undefeated team.

We had a couple of questionable losses in 1999, IIRC. UVA and WFU were both bad losses. That team potentially had a 10-1 season in them, but something made them underperform at times. The D was one of those things. Wasn't Mr. Roof in charge of that version? Not arguing that he wasn’t, but losing to UVA derailed his win.
And Thomas Jones was a better RB that year.Yep. Let's hand Ron Dayne the ball 50 times against Our Sisters of Pain and Mercy so he can break the career rushing mark.
Joe Ham was easily the better player.
Yeah WFU was a real head scratcher as well. Not sure about Roof, I think he was the following year, but I can’t recall for sure.We had a couple of questionable losses in 1999, IIRC. such a ööööing crimethe whole world went to hell in a hand basket when that fat bastard from WI stole it from JoeHam.
