Here is why we can beat both Boston College and Virginia Tech

JD,
2 questions I have, and maybe you have commented before which i didn't see or remember.
Does our OL have the size and strength to run the TO like it should be run in our league, to knock their asses off the ball?
And, how do you feel about Sewak? He seems like he knows his stuff but would like your honest opinion.
Thanks.

PS: Don't let a **** ass like GTKyle get to you. He doesn't deserve it.

I say we start a petition for GTKyle to be banned from the message board for that smart little comment and the comment about old senile men and how you are going to be dead soon on another thread. We are all tired of him anyway

Shooter: "I eat pieces of sh!t like you for breakfast!"

Happy: "What? You eat pieces of sh!t for breakfast??"

Ban? Seriously?

C'mon that would be like throwing Ernest T. out of Mayberry.

I was just joking. We need the ignorant comments of GTKyle to keep us stirred up

Bogey, we have the size but we don't have the confidence as well as depth to challenge each other. Roll the dice and pick a number to start a player. These guys need to toughen up, play faster, play smarter. It will come, unfortunately later than sooner. I would rather have Sewak than anyone else. He's a keeper.

I understand all our issues with execution, but are we at least better than East Carolina? IMO, it was a good year for us for the ACC to go down the crapper.

The next several weekends will tell. Not only because of the games we play, but the results of the games ECU plays. They play West Virginia next week and then NCSU two weeks after that...a lot of people are saying they could be really good this year, and everyone seems to hold Skip Holtz in high regard. If they can manage to beat WVU this weekend, we could be looking at a possible Boise State situation. Only problem for them is that the rest of the schedule is crap and their signature victories would be at the beginning of the year, which is not good for the voters.

Dude Hawaii's ENTIRE schedule was crap last year. It had 2 D1AA teams and their one BCS opponent was Washington (4-8), which they BARELY won.

If ECU beats two BCS bowl teams, they will definitely have a good shot to be a BCS-buster.

Quote from Johnson in todays macon paper about offensive line, which is just what RM has been saying.

It is refreshing to have a head coach with a 'playing personality' when it comes to his interaction with the media, as well as his players --which will translate into his team(s) having a playing personality reflective of their head coach.

Georgia Tech started 14 freshmen and sophomores against Jacksonville. Many of the 26 freshmen and sophomores on Johnson's two-deep depth chart will be playing or starting for the first time in a conference road game.

I'll take whatever this team can give us this year --but I'm honestly very upbeat and excited about the next year or two, and the future of the GT football program in general. This is in such contrast to the way I felt seven years ago.

They played the BCS opponent last though, and they played No. 19 Boise second to last. Before that they had generated a ton of hype through Colt Brennan and the previous season, so they were already ranked(albeit not near the top) by the time they got their signature victory. ECU isn't even ranked yet...if they beat WVU though, I'm sure they will be...do you have to be top 12 to be in the BCS for sure, or just go undefeated?

also, and i think it has to be taken into consideration, is the difficulty of Hawaii's travel schedule. Can you imagine flying 8 hours to get to Houston and then getting ready to play? horrid. horrid i say. they should get a bump for that.

Don't need to go undefeated. Just get into the top 12.

Don't need to go undefeated. Just get into the top 12.

However, the highest a mid-major with 1 loss has been was 17th--so they pretty much have to go undefeated and be ranked in top 12...and think I remember an undefeated team that barely was ranked in top 12 before.

BTW, Hawaii's weak schedule was not their plan...noone wanted to play them.
The Warriors' lackluster docket wasn't by design, though. Hawaii wanted to play Michigan, but the Wolverines weren't interested. Also, Michigan State paid $250,000 to get out of a game and USC rejected an offer.
