Here is why we can beat both Boston College and Virginia Tech

BTW, Hawaii's weak schedule was not their plan...noone wanted to play them.

However, they DID end up playing a BCS champion and got destroyed. Both Boise State and Hawaii struggled through very easy schedules. The Big 12 was also extremely weak the year Boise State beat Oklahoma.

So consider me unsold on the mid-majors. The best in the past 10 years was probably Utah in Meyer's last year and it's too bad they didn't get a shot at anyone bigger than Pitt or TAMU. Otherwise, mid-majors have consistently performed badly against BCS schools outside of a few fluke games.

Florida, people may be saying that about the ACC right now as well, and may have been saying it even before this weekend debacle. What is our record in the BCS games--where the best supposedly play the best?

While this is contrary to the whole, 'what have you done lately' mentality that has infested sports, how many MNCs do those mid majors have in the last 20 years. Now, how many do ACC schools have?

5? I think. Maryland in 53, Clemson in 81, GT in 90, and FSU in 93 and 99. Or am I missing any? Or are you counting national championships before joining the ACC?

I know it might not impress some of you but I remember getting our butts handed to us by Fresno (twice) and Utah. No matter the scenario we got smacked around.
