Any guesses on where we're at injury-wise post-Duke?

Byerly, Summers, & Searcy are out.

How about the defensive line guys? Did we have two starters out on Saturday?

Any new issues from the Duke game?

It looked like Golden went to the locker room during the game and then came back and got his hand/wrist looked at and taped - he went back in the game, then got that head-to-head targeting hit on a kick return.

Skov came off carrying his arm funny late in the game.

Somebody at the game said A-Back Marshall (#16) looked hurt on the sideline, but I couldn't find him.

Devine came out looking bad late and they talked to him on the sideline, but that may have just been exhaustion/conditioning.

The last two years we have been plagued at AB.

Snoddy goes out last year.
Lose Andrews in off season
Cottrell, who I had high hopes for, out for year
Searcy looked great - out 8 wks
Now Marshall

öööö me

well...this season's over.

At least we'll get a high draft pick.

Except both of these guys play different positions than AB.....??

Quaide got moved to A back last week.

I don't see AJ Gray moving from safety. I'd love to see him at A back, but I think the coaches like what he's doing at safety.

Sounds like MLD is going to play this week.

Rook-Chungong should be back. Gamble is questionable.

Yes I am aware AJ doesn't paly there thus the "look" comment. We are deep and not banged up in the secondary. AJ looked to be an excellent runner in HS as a QB, he is heady and has the physical make up to be an excellent A back IMO. I think ultimately yes DB seems to be a natural fit for him but in an emergency situation I think he would be very good here. Don't forget with Tim out we also lost Mathew Jordan at A back also.

I could have sworn someone told me that Braun had gone down during this game. What's the story?

This year has been the opposite of last regarding injury...particularly to one position group....lets go back to spring.

And remember that we lost 7 of our top 8 RB's to eligibility including Andrews....so the RB position group was already rocked.

OFFENSE:
Tim Byerly (out for season - knee)
CJ Leggett (out for season - knee)
Quaide Weimerskirch (out for 5 mths post surgery)
Marcus Allen (questionable for UNC - ankle)
Patrick Skov (probable for UNC - shoulder)
Kirvonte Benson (out for season - knee)
Nathan Cottrell (out for season - knee)
Qua Searcy (out for season - lower leg)
TaQuon Marshall (out indefinitely- inj not disclosed)
Michael Summer (collarbone - out indefinitely)
Chris Griffin (knee - out for season)

DEFENSE
Pat Gamble (likely out again for UNC - concussion)
Rod Rook-Chungong (probably for UNC)
Beau Hankins (out for season - multiple concussions)

He left the game for several series because one of our guys got blocked into his lower leg when he was planted....the brace saved him but it was a scare. He returned to the game in the 2nd half...played through it. He is our most consistent lineman this year.

Thanks for the posts hivered. It's making me feel nauseous, but thank you. Good seeing you around again.

Wait Skov and Marcus Allen out too?

..... sigh

It's not like many of these guys were contributing to the team though.

beg to differ...you cannot possibly get hit at a position group like this and not expect fall off.

We lost 7 of our top 8 RB's to graduation...so you have to get rep's to the next group up.

We started that in the spring and then lost Leggett and Quaide which would have given us some guys with reps...which then pressed true freshman coming in the fall for action.

Benson and Cottrell were thought to be the most physically ready coming in and we lost them.

Summers was our only WR with experience and had any receptions (always good with the screen pass) and we lost him.

Searcy and TaQuon are two of our best 3 pass catching AB's (the next in line is not even close because Snoddy and Willis are not good with their hands)...and they are out for the year. We now just have Lynch for the opponents to worry about losing in the seams or on a wheel. As info...Snoddy is not a blocker either...and this was something Searcy and TaQuon were coming along at as they were also DB's and naturally play more physical. Searcy had been dubbed by CPJ to be our "big play AB" this season....and it showed the first three games.

Chris Griffin started many games at RT (next to that guy named Shaq Mason...remember him?)....and rotated in others with Errin Joe (which applied pressure to Joe). With him out it has forced a true freshman (Will Bryan) into action early.
