When Maryland left a few years ago, they had to pay something like 20 million dollars but I'm pretty sure the Big 10 helped to defray some of the costs. If we could find a conference (SEC) that would be willing to help defray the cost of us leaving the ACC, I would jump in a heartbeat. Bobby Dodd made a huge mistake in 1964 that has haunted us ever since. Maybe one day we'll have the chance to go back where we belong. What a blatant slap in the face, especially as our HC retires. The ACC continues to screw us over. I'd love to leave if we could.
I'm pissed too, but I'm sure the players would rather take a trip, get some free stuff, and see a different city than do none of those things. Saying we should decline the invitation is dumb.Well that'll work, because the players will be the the majority of the attendees.
I feel bad the team, they got ööööed over here.
Have you #boycottbelk yet?I'm pissed too, but I'm sure the players would rather take a trip, get some free stuff, and see a different city than do none of those things. Saying we should decline the invitation is dumb.
‘ole TStan really nails the PR, huh?
He comes across as exciting as stale bread.
LolI hope we decline the Bowl and GT decides to clean ööööing house in the AD department. Fire Peterson too while you are at it. Clean ööööing house. Go hire a good AD that will look after the interests of GT. Having us go to öööötier bowls locations than Miami, UVA, and VT shows how much the ööööing ACC looks to öööö GT.
I hope to God we get a call from the Big 10 and leave - without Stansbury, please
That öööööööööööö better be groveling and explaining himself. He had BETTER explain how he ööööed up the sendoff our our coach. He BETTER explicitly say "I would like to apologize to coach Johnson, his players, the fans, and the band for my ööööup. I am resigning my position as AD of GT effective immediately"
GT should decline the invitation. It will end up costing the school more to go than to stay home.
Give CPJ a jump on next year, right?Retarded. Bowl games allow you to practice longer and get reps to prep for next season.

PSA - everyone email Tstan and veto Whisenhunt already. Let’s see it kids, (threaten to) cancel those season tickets!!
Raising money and water bottles is all we have seen so far though. Hope you are right.
Exactly what I was thinking. Even when Tech lost in the ACCCG a few years back the slipped to the Sun Bowl because they could, by rule, slip no further. Basically for Tech it is Orange or bust.Yea, win another game and we might have improved to the #9 ACC bowl.
Answer is yes.
