Isn’t It Coincidental That When GT Left The SEC In 64 …

We have the number one car salesman from Conyers running the football program. Why don’t we put him to the task?
"Values and Culture" - please define for us, Geoff what that actually means in terms of substance, I'll hang up and listen.

Tech has a fan problem. Why do 98% of sidewalk fans in Metro Atlanta gravitate towards UGA. Maybe the inclusive environment? It is all about shouting how bout dem dawgs and partying. Tech fans, and I am one, seem like a bunch of snobby, look at my diploma, types.
because uga embraces being a dumbass

You think South Carolina regrets joining the SEC?
How's that worked out for them? 0 conference championships, 0 national championships, and being a bottom feeder of the conference a whole lot more often than not. But hey, they get to throw a little bit more money at that ööööty performance so it's all good.

Yeah. Spurrier had a pretty nice run, but overall, I can't really imagine anyone wanting to trade our last 25-30 years of football for theirs, so that comparison made no sense.

USCe is baby steps above Vandy in that division. They should be happy UT has been down going on 10 years. Spurrier was for USCe what Cutcliffe was for Duke.

Nah, GT alums aren't terribly snobby in the grand scheme of things. Plenty of schools with 'snobby' alums have huge sidewalk fan bases (Michigan, Notre Dame, and such), GT football just completely blows. Non-alums don't pay attention to college football programs that aren't very good consistently

Bama must want us back in the SEC, they have been singing about drowning us in a watery grave for all of the 58 years since we left.

They were actually their best when they were Indpendent and had the Fire Ants under Marlboro Joe Morrison. The SEC has been pretty rough on them

After reading all the post on this topic it appears one of three scenarios will play out:
1. We’ll be invited to join the SEC
2. We’ll be invited to join the Big 10
3. We’ll drop out of big boy football and play with the little boys. But we’ll be able to boast that our team is made of real student athletes and our dook don’t stink.

Just curious…how much conference money has GT missed out on by leaving the SEC?
