It’s been too long and it’s Time!!

And this is why he’s at JSU..attitudes like th.

I’m a HBCU alum, and what he is doing is bigger than football. Y’all can sit on your high horses and pretend to be better, but at the end of the day he’s not leaving JSU for Tech. If he ever leaves JSU it would be for FSU.

just because Jackson is small & yall don’t know the history & tradition of JSU & the SWAC means it’s insignificant.

I’m a sidewalk Tech fan because I’m from Atlanta & most of the Tech folks I’ve came across are completely different from the deranged SEC & UGA fans. Some of y’all sound no different than them.
Who?

This is what I meant to post to the above quote.

I agree with the point that Sanders is doing something bigger than football. I think he would like to see more great former players and high profile coaches follow him to coaching HBCU’s. He would like to see black celebrity athletes and entertainers invest in NIL money for the HBCU’s. With a focused, well articulated end game and concerted and cooperative effort, the HBCU’s can attract top talent in football and basketball. With NIL players can make money at an HBCU as well as at the traditional powers. If others joined Sanders it would not be long before television, streaming and merchandising deals shifted a lot of resources to the HBCU’s. It could signal quite a change in the college sports landscape and infuse the HBCU’s with both athletic and eventually academic revenue,

I think he will leave when he feels that others are unwilling to join him in investing their time and money in HBCU athletics.

Yeah but, have you spent much time in Mississippi?

Pretty easy to sit on a high horse if you’ve hung out in that state, dude.

My daughter goes to a small private school in Jackson MS (Belhaven). In the past six months she’s had a break in at her house (what we thought was a safe neighborhood), one of her professors got shot at a fairground, and her best friend got carjacked in her driveway 2nd day back for fall classes. Police say the break in, shooting, and carjacking were gang related (likely initiations). The roads in many parts of the city are riddled with potholes and debris. And the water quality problems aren’t new. Every time there’s a heavy rain, residents are told to boil water. It’s a miniature Detroit, and JSU is right in the middle of it. I’d be looking to get out of there if I were Deion.

I agree he's likely not leaving JSU for Tech, but he himself said he interviewed for three FBS jobs last season, right? That's a really weird thing to say publicly if he plans to stay at JSU even medium term.
