I bought into his salesmanship right away. He's a very good salesman. All products need good sales people and Tech is no exception. The problems in retrospect were:
1) he wanted to change the brand from "Tech" to some kind of other "ATL" styled brand and
2) the product he himself delivered on the field was abysmal.
As a salesman, he is top notch. As a brand and product developer and a head football coach, well, the record breaking results speak for themselves. The "New Coke" fiasco might be a good analogy.
