Its been a week .........................

Unless, of course, they continue to have the same kinds of issues when they play Bulldogs.

LOL!!....careful, HB! If you take the spears off the 'Nole lids, they look amazingly like Boston College! ;-)

True but that game was full of TO's and bonehead coaching decisions. Anything is possible but this team, from top to bottom, doesn't seem to be having those issues. And it's a BEAUTIFUL thing.

HBTD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KNEW the TO's were down this year.....didn't realize the bonehead was out-of-the-loop, though. ;-)

HBTD, keep the posts coming that UGA is invincible, but don't forget to visit us after the bowl game.

Where did I say we were "invincible"?

All I've basically said is that we're 12-1 and all indications are that we are a program moving in the right direction.

And you and yours?

HBTD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL.. I heard the same thing out of Athens after the 1997 season...

I will be anxious to see how you guys respond next year after losing your entire OL and a total of 7 of the 11 starters on offense... I have a feeling Musa wont be as team oriented this time next year, and Greene will have a few more bumps on his butt...

Every dog gets a bone every now and then, and you guys got yours this year... but it is way to early to say you have turned anything around... congrats on a great season though...

We only lose 6 starters on O. Brock, Miller and Giles have all had starts and have all played quite a bit. It's probably a safe assumption that the OL play will dip a bit but not necessarily. We do lose Edwards but I think we will still have a VERY proven and deep WR core. I see no reason to think Musa won't be "team oriented" but if he's not, there's always the two top RB's that we signed last yr, who red shirted AND Lumpkin who's this yr's top RB. I think we'll be fine on O.

As for the D, we lose only Gilbert and Bailey. I'd say the D gets better.

Billy Bennett is also back.

In closing, to go 12-1, have what looks to be a pretty strong squad returning AND a good looking recruiting class coming in is quite the "turn" from the Donnan years.

Lets just say, I think we'll do a tad better then your boys, in '03.

LOL.. not to get into a counting match here..
but the starters on the O that are gone are Edwards, Foster (the belly flopper), Jackson, Knight, Breedlove, Stinchcomb, and Wall... thats 7 ... on top of that.. you also lose Kareem Marshall.. replacing a an O line is tough...

We will be in Atlanta waiting for you next year... you can count on that!

Hey Ring...as to your Vietnam comment...best lay off that one hoss. THWG

UGA was VERY impressive this year, no doubt.
They had some breaks for sure, but they also took advantage of every opportunity; which good teams do.

HOWEVER....

It seems to happen to every program who has a great year. Suddenly wins seem easy to come by. Suddenly those players who were good a year or two earlier are great...Suddenly it looks almost impossible to lose. Those close wins, with a few key breaks now seem like more convincing wins.

Here is the point...The difference in winning and losing these days (ie the days of greater parity) is razor thin. Even in this down year Tech could have easily been 8-3, maybe even 9-2 (not deserving, still, it could have happened)..UGA could have EASILY been 8-4.

What perplexes me, is the mentality that doesn't recognize this (??). It happens every year.
I live down here on tobacco road, and I recall when UNC was having their run, - they were recruiting out of this world, Mack Brown seemed to be a fixture, and they were pushing FSU in their glory days. Man, it sure looked bright to the Heel faithful. Then in ONE season, things turned around and look where they are now...

There are so many examples of this its too hard to count.

And this doesn't take ANYTHING away from UGA great year. I just sense the dawg faithful counting the wins next year and the "dynasty" in the making. Now that might come true, but to have a dynasty, you need a LOT more than one year.

Plus, I doubt the dawgs will get the breaks next year like they did this year ( can say the same about Ohio State FWIW)...I think they'll be good, but it seems very hard now to take a serious look at some of those games that UGA could have lost in the blink of an eye...

You would be correct, I forgot about JT. Not to disparage JT, but he'll not be a huge loss. As i said, the OL will be interesting but we'll see and again, the D should be nasty. Imagine all of those guys with another year of weight training etc? Whew! Scary!

GR - you can generally make the statement about every team. Miami could easily have lost two games. I think one of the big differences is the buying into MR's system by the team. We could have easily been 11-1, the year before but because they new the system better and MR was mare adept at playing calling and time mgmt, we won those games, this yr.

Again, time will tell but I like the improvement and don't see any real reason to think that won't continue.

HBTD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buttsniffers are here at this time for one reason and one reason only. To gloat. No thanks, please leave by the same door as you came in. This is not a NCAA board this is a TECH board. You suck, we hate you and we're not interested in your opinions.

HBDT, How did you see Texas A&M in 1980? Like most leghumpers, you don't have your facts straight.

You played a team from Texas - it wasn't the University of Texas - but it wasn't Texas A&M.

We didn't play Texas A&M in Athens in 1980 and beat them 42-0? Really?

I think you may need to re-check those facts.

Every time my wife and I see a vehicle with the UGA flags, we roll our eyes and say, "well there goes another red-neck".
