Jahmyr Gibbs

On second thought let's not photoshop any Gibbs photos. There are a finite number of ways for StinGTalk to screw up this recruitment, and photoshop is definitely one of them.

Good call aero.

This is Georgia Tech football. I could see the NCAA calling a photoshopped picture an impermissible benefit and bringing the ban hammer down on us.

The sec rant recruiting board has been silent on Gibbs as of the past few weeks. I have to believe there would be chatter if anyone had any sort of info that he would be going to an sec school. The thread about him even fell off the first page.

He wants to play for Collins.

Pretty sure we got Gibbs. No Crystal ball changes and no super awesome times at Florida. Next wednesday cant come soon enough

Has Gibbs announced a time for a signing ceremony or anything like that? Or just playing it low key and will just send it in?

I hope it's a low key one. I sure don't want him announcing "I choose Ga Tech University" on some national stage.

Not me 1) I would be shocked if he makes that mistake for all kind of reasons 2) I want him to put on a parade up and down 75 between Dalton and GT and make sure that everyone knows that GT is signing big time players.

We should put up his billboard all over the state.

But low key is OK; whatever Mr Gibbs wants.

Exactly. I'd prefer him to make the commitment loud and clear for everyone far and wide to hear that we're signing players of his caliber. However, if he wants to simply sign the paperwork and get to work, I'm cool with that. Whatever gets him on The Flats!

Yeah I don't know him or family personally but have been following his scant public comments during his recruiting. They've kicked up a lot of anxiety in others that he wants to go to a factory and wasn't ever truly committed to Tech, which to me made sense only because it's a familiar story. For Jahmyr, he's been quite up front, consistent, and nuanced in his comments about his recruiting. To me that indicates someone very intelligent and with a large degree of emotional maturity such that he can recognize the value of exploring his options and validation of his success for receiving serious interest from the top competitors in CFB -- at the same time not giving a damn about puffing up his ego by plastering his success everywhere. My scouting is limited, but from what I see he is every bit a 5* on the field and 5* in the locker room. I do wish he would smile from time to time in pictures, though.

I wouldn't. We need to carry on as though this is expected now (which it is); I also wouldn't want to highlight one recruit over the others.

I'm slightly worried about that angle and didn't mean it literal but GT is still trying to change the narrative and market ourselves aggressively so we have to use every opportunity we get. I think the players/recruits understand this element of recruiting (it is a show) better than fans. The players seem to want the recruits to have the opportunity to enjoy their time in the lime light.

In a few years, when it is old hat, we can act like it it normal ops.

Gibbs is not the only recruit we're beating a factory for.
