Jaybo Shaw = starting QB?

I think it's pretty funny that both Alagold and Yukonwreck have shown up at the exact same time to spew the same bull**** that they always do. Just in time for the season. And to pre-empt both of you, it's not a matter of what's possible, it's about the fact that the overwhelming majority - if not all - of what you post is on the least optimistic side of the ball.

It's probably because bbuzzoff is down.

I too want to see JN in game pressure situations(not just Jax) before I anoint him JoeHam redux.I keep seeing that wide open WR in the VT game that he missed and those bungled snaps/handoffs from 07.
It is POSSIBLE that JN will get so erratic that Jaybo will take over to steady the ship..

No one's calling him the next Joe Hamilton. I also wouldn't use the VT game to size him up. Keep in mind he barely got to play last year. If you only get thrown in to games sporadically, it's hard to call it experience. This year he's been able to practice full time with the #1 O. PLUS he's a year older - from Fresh to Soph is a BIG difference.

That said, I too would like to see him in his first big game - and I don't think JSU is that game either.

Well, I think JN is going to have a great year, but as of this moment (unless something has changed) Jaybo is our starter.

Remember, CPJ believes that if you get hurt you do not automatically regain your spot.

So I don't know if he is now 2nd or 4th string.

Gonna bee fun.

are you kidding texstinger? Jaybo is not the starter. Have you been to any of the practices are anything? Its very clear that Josh Nesbitt is better than Jaybo.

Yes it is. The board's resident dipsh*t.

I didn't say it.

Well, not really. I sorta set someone else up to say it though.

It's probably because bbuzzoff is down.

Why would it be down? Did we win saturday's scrimmage or something?

I see that too. I don't know that JN has turned the corner. I think "JoeHam Redux" is a pretty tall order in any case. But that's not the topic - the topic is who's best to start. JoeHam didn't see the field until his .. what .. RS Sophomore year? (is that right?)

Josh is clearly the starter at this point. But you need 2 QB's to run any system's main package of plays, particularly ours, and Jaybo is clearly the number 2 guy. We can't afford to RS him. Booker seems to be PJ's change of pace QB with his own passing package.

So what about reports that other injured starters were not automatically given their starting positions back?

It, according to reports, has nothing to do with where you were on the chart before the injury.

Now, obviously, someone could come back on the field and be so much more impressive than those guys in front of them that they would immediately jump back to the starter. I don't know.

Has nobody else seen and read reports that if you are not practicing you do not automatically keep your spot? Anyone?

So, eric, from the reports I have read it has nothing to do with who is better at any given moment. I read CPJ say he would not demote someone who has been on the field practicing.

I am not praising or being critical of any player or policy one way or the other.

Don't think I've actually seen that reported anywhere texstinger. What I've seen is that guys who are on the beach and have been there quite a bit aren't listed on the 2 deep. I personally don't think the 2 deep has any importance for CPJ...it's just something he's forced to put together for people like us to stew over. He knows who will play if they're healthy and where they are on any depth chart is immaterial.

He plays who is best texstinger. Corey earls for example missed a bunch of time and then got beat out because tyler melton is better at this time. Roddy jones missed some time to but as soon as he came back he was first string again. Aj smith is another one like this.

-pretty funny ,asshole, that I quoted and was commenting on a thought by Option yet you think that I had the original thought,
- you can't even read,or you don't want to see it

:laugher: You're such a little girl.

We know who you are and the fact that your attitude is perpetually speptical/leaning negative of everything about this program. I know that you get off on people responding to you, but nobody takes anyone of your ilk seriously anymore, so do the forum a favor and go back to where you came from.

Thank you, buddy - god bless you. I'll see ya, buddy.
