Jemea Thomas

Wow. Just saw a video on him he lighting quick. Also he weighs 185 and can bench over 350!

Looks great at safety but I really get the feeling PJ is going to steal him to the offensive side.

Scott Kennedy is drooling over this guy. South Carolina wanted him as did Purdue. His best qualities are toughness and raw athleticism. And, as has been pointed out, his is very strong and very fast and takes delight in delivering punishment whether he is on offense or defense.

Kennedy has him as the #96 safety in the country.

He's going to be a good addition to our program and think he would make an ideal A back not unlike Marcus Wright. We are going to have some serious burners back there.

Its starting to dawn on me that because our line blocking development is a little behind that there is a big peice of our offense that we haven't seen yet.

Since A backs, I'm thinking, are not the ones expected to break tackles at the LoS, CPJ is holding a number of plays out until he thinks we can at least get the A backs past the LoS to turn them loose with some space to work their magic.

So I think as soon as the OL gets to the point CPJ wants them to be at, we are going to see an entirely new layer of offense that, as yet, has not been revealed. And we are recruiting and developing a serious wealth of talent to unleash once we reach that point.

As good as it is, folks, its only going to get better. A lot better.

i hope thats the case because it seems like we are doing the same plays over and over again and having to lean on nesbitt throwing towards the end of the game. im not saying that this offense will not work because i think it will be amazing in a couple years hell maybe even next year. i tribute most of the 3 and outs to the OL once they get it down or once PJ gets faster guys in there i think we will be putting up 30+ points a game which will be exciting to watch. i think this season is a great example to how good a coach PJ is. he is getting the job done with guys he didnt recruit.

Jemea Thomas will get his first look by our staff at CB.
AB is also a possibility of things do not work as a DB.
Outstanding tackler.

He can be our little Trindon Holliday. But just a little slower. Players like Maurics Jones-Drew and Trindon Holliday show that players who are short can make some huge plays in football because they are harder to tackle. Offense or defense, this guy seems like an excellent pickup. Go Joja Tech!!!

HUGE pickup.

Very underrated and im glad we need to continue to build depth with guys like Jemea.

On another note, Al-Terek Mcburse seems to be a GT lean right now.

Jamie Kennedy and Micheal L from Rivals thinks he's very underrated and think he will end up at GT.

McBurse does not have an offer from us yet...his grades are not there. If he had a commitable offer he would have pledged to us months ago. We are still keeping the door open. This is the same issue with Reginald Bryant.
We are still pushing Orwen Smith...he is our #1 target at running back.
We stay in touch with Braxton Lane about a baseball/football combo.
We are also looking hard at Demond Dennis of Atlanta-Carver High.
There is also another possibility or two out there.

So, 10 more to go, yes?

We have 22 to give....one will go to Scott Blair. There is also a chance of one more ship freeing up.

Keep in mind though...it is not the end of the world if we do not fill the class as we only have 10 seniors next year in what is supposed to be the deepest class in Georgia high school football history. By us not having enough ships...we will be making it easier for Georgia, Auburn, Clemson, and Florida to come in the door.

Yeah, but we always seem to lose 2 to 5 here or there annually, due to transfer or grades or whatever. I'd rather be in a position where we have to fill 12 to 15, than 15 to 20. Bird in the hand and all that jazz.

Then again, 2009 is going to be our year. Our team should be outstanding next year, so recruiting could go very well. Hrmm.

I'm still worried about the DL next year. DE will be stellar again but up the middle, I'm nervous.

I'm not worried. DL is our deepest position. I'm concerned about the progression of our OL though.
