No, 281 total yards from our mighty equalizer offense should always be enough to beat teams like Miami!!!
It is absolutely never the fault of the offense of CPJ. EVER.

Those clamoring for tenuta didn't watch this game. Our offense tanked in the second half. Our D is what kept us in it. They caught that 4th down bobble pass in double coverage. Regardless of the soft coverage on the screen, Roof had us in position to stop them.
 
We adjusted to the bubble screens after the third one yesterday. Tenuta NEVER adjusted anything against BC. We just kept zone blitzing and they just kept blocking it. The entire game.

The answer appears to be that he is now a DB coach at Cincinnati. Yep, apparently he is such a proven commodity at DC that no P5 program would hire him.

After helping get Gailey fired at GT, he went to ND and helped get Weiss fired. Then after a short stint at NCState where he helped get Tom O'brien fired, he went to Virginia to help get London ran out of town.

So in summary, if you did hire him; you would be banned from posting 2 years later if the pattern holds.

100% of our wins are the "fault" of the offense. Yes, occasionally the offense doesn't perform well and is at fault for a loss.

But what % of our wins are the "fault" of the defense? When is the D going to actually win us a game?

I guess the answer depends on how you count a 35-17, 33-7, and 37-10 wins.
 
If you believe the polls, we lost as time ran out to the #11 ranked team on their field. As in any close game, any of a number of plays that go our way and we win, but they didn't and we lost. It was a hard fought game. I don't see where there is a reason to "lay blame", but I'm old, so what do I know.

I wouldn't put that 51-7 on the D. That was a team effort. I also wouldn't pin the fumble runbacks on Roof, since the D was on the sidelines.
