Juanyeh Thomas Invited to NFL Combine

I think he'll make it to a practice squad, at best. Just don't see his talent good enough for NFL. I could be wrong... But, there are much better players...
He'll be able to, at the very least, fall into that category of player that through hard work makes a roster for a handful of years at league minimum. His skillset will allow him to serve as 2nd/3rd string safety and emergency linebacker, will play all special teams strong.

We'll see... I wouldn't of given him enough stat points to make the starting roster to many teams... Perhaps, the right team with a bad defense? I will be shocked to see him drafted.

My last post may have seemed short or rude. I promise I wasn't trying to be. I consider myself more a realist. I am not saying he doesn't have skill or ability. He does. However; a few things are against him. First and biggest.. His skill/talent blends in with many others. I feel an equal sill/talent, from a bigger school would be chosen first. To add, teams are going to look at game film. I recall GT getting burned, at lot... I cannot say any of that will bode well for Thomas. This is where my belief comes from.

I wasn't saying he'd be a starter or anything, but NFL teams need to fill out a 53 man roster, those last few spots need to go to guys with skillsets that blend well with others, they need to be able to be emergency backups for multiple positions and play all special teams. I'd also say work ethic matters more for these types of players than hundredths of a second on your 40 time, so if he puts in the work, I think he'll have a fairly productive few years making around the league minimum.

I seem to recall he was much quicker before he added weight. Could see an NFL team having him slim down just a bit to get his speed where it needs to be, and coaching will certainly help hone his raw ability. Hope to see him playing on Sundays for years to come.

I really hope you're right. Heck, I wouldn't mind making the league minimum... Just saying...
