Why would the pilots lose their wings over that?
They flew below the threshold against orders. Why would the pilots lose their wings over that?
I think it was less about the altitude and more about dropping a JDAM on a bunch of english bulldog puppies in Bogart. It was too close to the Nissan dealership for their Colonel's taste. Why would the pilots lose their wings over that?
Below the hard deck doesn't count. Why would the pilots lose their wings over that?
The pattern was full.Below the hard deck doesn't count.
I want some butts. The pattern was full.
Correction - "Lifetime of fame"!I was there in the UE and the heat was very noticeable. Best ever. They got busted but at least they had their fifteen minutes of fame.
Cost them their US Navy careers. I'm sure they are flying for commercial airlines somewhere. It was good enough to cost both pilots their careers.
Too soon?Hiroshima had the best flyover ever.
The heat is the thing that I remember. It didn't seem all that loud or violent to me, but I remember thinking holy crap that was so close I just could feel the heat from the engines.I was there in the UE and the heat was very noticeable.
There’s a video somewhere of I think a Navy game at RFK and it looks like the jets are level with the boxes because you can see the flame reflecting in the glass. I’ve looked for the video and can’t find it.This was without doubt more awesome, no doubt.
Without exaggeration one bit, we were in the upper North, and when they flew overhead, we could feel the wind against our faces from the jet exhaust. My neighbor with me said he actually thought it would blow his hat off.
The craziest I have seen on video was at the USNA ( vs TCU I think) and the jet appeared to be at least level with the stadium lights, if not below.
yeah, i've caught a lot of fallout over that oneToo soon?
I didn't care for the first one, but this is pure gold.yeah, i've caught a lot of fallout over that one
Japan didn't care for the first one or the second oneI didn't care for the first one, but this is pure gold.
