Keep Thacker, LB Coach, Tillman

Eh, I'd rather let the next coach bring in their own guys. If there's one assistant they want to keep as a holdover or something, fine, but there's no one on this staff who can't be replaced.
I'd keep Travares and that's it.

I'd just like to point out Charlie Thomas, Ace Eley, and Keion White are all seniors. Even if Key went to a bowl game there's plenty of reasons to doubt the defense next season. How loud would the groaning be if Thacker were retained after one good year only to return to swiss cheese secondary and poor gap discipline again?

Not necessarily

the defense played a great game.
Eh, let's not go there. We were playing Virginia, a team that can't run the ball. Remember earlier in the week where someone posted the stats to a game where they had, was it 0 yards rushing? We hold FSU to that level, then come back and we'll talk. I thought Charlie Thomas (our best defensive player) had his worse game as a Jacket. It was just an ugly game.

If we are not going with Key, and I think that is probably wise, then clean house.

The roster has to be rebuilt regardless of who the coaches are next season.

I think if Key and his staff are not retained, then we will lose a lot of players to the transfer portal. Believe me, there are some players I want us to hang onto. I really want us to use Zach Pyron soon just in case Sims moves on next year. You just never know with the transfer portal offering more opportunities.

It’s becoming apparent that this guy took an absolute - and unnecessary - beating for 3+ seasons. The upside is that he’s been given an opportunity to improve his image before he [most likely] starts looking for a new job.

I saw that as well. Between seeing our attendance & the non-entertaining offense, I think he might of been thinking “oh sh**!, what have I done?” He also might have met some our disfunctional big $$ guys.

Coming from Bama, you don’t think this guy has experience dealing with crazy, rich rednecks?

Sure, but at Bammer, currently, sa(t)an is in total control. They are all afraid to ruffle his feathers, so he doesn't have to be concerned with conflicting meddling. Now, at AllBarn, that is totally different. There the AD and coach are completely not in control.

Also, some of our big $$ guys are definitely not in the category you are referring to. For example, Texiera. The problem isn't that they are "rednecks". The problem is there are not enough of them, and they have conflicting ideas of what is best for the program, but you have to keep them all happy, because you need every red cent.
