It will be a clean sweep.
At least we didnt lose to Tennessee amiriteIf I spent 5 years at Alabama watching Saban and his minions mow down everyone like a Spartan army and then watched GT, I'd look like that too
Well ackshually, that would be typical GT athletic’s department modus operandi.I'd just like to point out Charlie Thomas, Ace Eley, and Keion White are all seniors. Even if Key went to a bowl game there's plenty of reasons to doubt the defense next season. How loud would the groaning be if Thacker were retained after one good year only to return to swiss cheese secondary and poor gap discipline again?
Based on everything youse ‘insiders’ speak about, it sounds to me like not only the coaching staff, but also the athletic’s department as a whole…marketing, ticket office, etc.5 to 6 years? That's pretty generous. The way I see it, we got set back all the way to like, 1994.
There's exactly zero chance that the next coach is going to want to any part of this shart stain. Exorcise this staff and start with a clean, shart-free slate.
I'd love to be where we were coming off the 2013 season...Key will not be retained.
Staff will be gone.
Many players will hit the portal.
J Batt better make a good hire.
Whoever comes in will need to hit the portal hard.
This will be a rebuild and will take some time.
The hiring of Collins will end up setting the program back, starting from 2019, five to six years.
We have had a hard time on short distance 3rd down/goalline all yr. I thought MAYBE we might have a NEW formation (2 backs or a jumbo grouping to push a runner over) but that's too complicated as we would need extra days --oh, we had extra days. hmmmmStill lost on why we decide to throw the ball with Gibson on 3 and 1 inside the 5 yard line with over 30 seconds and a timeout to end the 2nd qtr. Then on 3 and 2 down 7 inside of 2 minutes you throw the ball again. Those were just mind blowing play calls from Long.
I had thacker on my termination list for quite some time, but with how dramatic the change has been I'm solidly in the "wait till the end of the season" camp. I'm absolutely shocked by how much better we are on defense.
Gonna be the biggest rebuild in Tech football history.Key will not be retained.

41 points and 600+ yards today. No thanks! Our defense looks completely fine considering the offense left them on the field the whole game. Congrats to the coaches.
Our offense and punt team is so bad, it truly is difficult to watch.
Why does it take the whole game to remember to "throw it to #8"!
And by the way, #0 should be a tight end. He has a very poor ability to go get the ball and against CB's, he can't go get the ball. But as a tight end, just finding and sitting in space, he could use his size and be a good tight end. His handlers need to wake this guy up. Tech needs a TE who can move and catch, and this guy has NO career as a WR. This is a very foolish move by himself and he should beg to get TE playing time now.
Our punter and punt team is completely awful. What made the game particularly bad was that we slowly gave away field position because we absolutely suck on punt team.
We continue to be a very dumb team. Basics like covering up a tight end requires benching. It's so easy and we do stupid stuff over and over and over and over. And today we did it over and over and over and over AFTER a week off. Coaching....
