Initial reaction was that I'm happy with Key, but 7-5 doesn't seem contact extension worthy to me. Then I remembered the structure of his first contract and realized the raise was to mid tier.

Hopefully the contract includes a bump in the support function salary pool.

Exactly. Plus he was 7*-5* this year. Although one could argue he was 7*-6* last year thanks to Cristobal.

No one would argue last year. Cristobal decided to not take a knee. He did not gift us the win. Don’t forget we went 85 yards down the field with zero timeouts in under 2 minutes to score the winning TD. Was not gifted to us.

A few years ago, Tech was the laughing stock of the college football world. Our few fans were demoralised and approaching hopelessness. The only person who didn't understand the depth of our problem was our own AD. Thank goodness we had a President who saw the problem and was willing to take solid steps to solve it. Now we have an President-AD-Head Football Coach combo that is second to none. They all deserve raises and hand written than you letters from every Tech fan. Go Jackets!

Equally one could by all rights argue that he was 8*-4* this year with a win over a top 10 playoff bound uga team where we were clearly the better team that night which has been a damn long time since you can honestly say that.
