Key Gets Extension

As much as we can, yes. But he’ll eventually be a HC somewhere, which is great for us and CBK. Santucci has also been a very good coordinator. I hope both indicate that CBK will be able to keep identifying and attracting strong coordinators to GT FB.
Santucci needs to bury that damn prevent defense though. Other than that, he is the best DC we have had since Tenuta

Hoping he is only middle of the acc in comp because we are opening up the purse strings for the staff as well.

Exactly. Plus he was 7*-5* this year. Although one could argue he was 7*-6* last year thanks to Cristobal.
This. If we weren’t riddled with injuries, VT is a win. uGA was a win until the refs decided to öööö us. This very easily could have been an 8-4 or 9-3 season. At minimum we should be been 8-4 but Jeff Heaser and his crew had other ideas. So I think an extension and raise are definitely warranted.

No coach in the last half century has wanted to coach GT football more than Brent Key.
Not Paul Johnson, Gailey, Bobby Ross, or O’Leary.

If we get behind this guy monetarily and added fan-support…GT has the potential to reach beyond the highest points we’ve seen since the 1940’s.

I’m just saying it is possible.

A few years ago, Tech was the laughing stock of the college football world. Our few fans were demoralised and approaching hopelessness. The only person who didn't understand the depth of our problem was our own AD. Thank goodness we had a President who saw the problem and was willing to take solid steps to solve it. Now we have an President-AD-Head Football Coach combo that is second to none. They all deserve raises and hand written than you letters from every Tech fan. Go Jackets!
This might be one of the best things I've ever read on this board. Kudos to you sir! We all need to realize how far we have ascended from the abyss and how quickly.

Me Tenuta
Me no care if in minority
Me have answer for every problem: blitz!

There were times we got pantsed with short yardage dunks by great QBs, sure. But when we lost those games, we were still holding them to beatable scores. It was the scared-of-its-own-shadow Chan offense that cost us 5 games a year while Tenuta was generally terrorizing the ACC.

Matt Ryan was a tenuta defense kryptonite

Thought last week going to prevent may have been predicated by the lack of healthy DBs left available late in the game.
I dunno. We did it against Miami up 12 and almost gave that game away. And we tried to give the NCST game away with it, but Philo wasn’t having it. It’s basically a thing.
