The Key 180 on this board is nuts. 6 months ago, Key was universally hated (second only to the Clown). Now, he is our savior?

Was there a single positive reaction when he was named interim: https://stingtalk.com/board/threads/master-of-whispers-collins-gone-brent-ööööing-key-is-interim-are-you-ööööing-kidding-me.112494
I don’t really have a lot of room to talk, but at some time all Tech fans need to get on board and support our coach. For me, that day was today. It’s not good for you or our team to continue like this. So recognize that you need to get on board and take steps to do that or :gtfo2:

This answer put those questions to rest. We are not settling for mediocrity. We are committed to winning. We are not satisfied with being the little brother. It remains to be seen if we get there, but prospective and current players can be assured that is our goal. And I do think that makes a difference, both in team motivation and on the recruiting trail.

I thought for sure that key was going to come into the press conference and tell us his goals were to go .500 in the ACC and lose the UGA every year. I'm so glad he told us how he was going to dominate Georgia and win because saying that usually makes it happen.

Yeah But that comment had to have been directed at Ken from his Fritz “scoop” tweet
I bet Ken still says his sources were right ... until they weren't.

I especially liked Key talking about a new approach to S&C. Yes, I have been banging the drum for a new S&C coach for a while and was happy when Key sent Caralla packing. Now let's get back to working the weight room to win football games, not Giorgio Armani ads.

Haven't listened yet but I think this is just coaching rhetoric and nothing new. I remember that there were people under the Collins regime that said this (Patenaude?), if not Collins himself.
I just remember watching during the entirety of the Patenaude and Collins era and asking "what offensive scheme?"
since there wasn't one.

Words are fun but all that matters is the score at :00. Let’s see if an OLine comes off the field after a false start. Or if a DB comes off after pass interference. He said we will be the most disciplined team in the ACC. Great. We’ll see.

Why should an OL have to come off the field after a false start? If Nat Dorsey had a false start against UNC is it the smart thing to take him out of the game in which he is dominating Julius Peppers to teach him a lesson? That is a dumbass move.

I don’t know why I don’t like the word “scheme.” Our scheme should be to run plays the other team can’t stop.

And how come only offenses have a scheme?

The defense’s scheme is to stuff the offense and not play a certain scheme. Why is the offense any different?
