Kids dont love it

I mean, did they really expect anything different? The writing has been on the wall since NIU last year (arguably) and the team had already been blown out twice this year, 4 games in. On top of that they just lost a winnable game due to stupid mistakes, and had a 4th punt blocked this year. Offense, defense and special teams were all atrocious, which all falls to the coach.

The sad truth to football is that it is a cut throat profession. A significant percentage of athletes don’t finish with the same coach that recruited them.

As to the timing, it should have been at the end of last season. But Todd bought a little more leash and now it has to happen in a very unceremonious way. The program is on the path to insolvency by season’s end with CGC leading the team. It had to happen.

What I'm seeing is that we need a real football coach AND bring back Derick Moore

Nothing wrong with defending your coach, even if he wasn't great at his job. Sucks for the players, but their feelings are to be expected. No point in bashing them too. Many of them probably will not stick around, but I do kind of hate it for then

If the players don't play well, the coach gets fired. It kind of is a slap in the face for players. It's reality. If your coach likes his job, he beats wins out of you. If you aren't able, he shouldn't have recruited you.. It's the P5 game. There's so much money involved, competition is king. The big problem is that you have to win some competitions.
