Kiffin won't be OC in title game

Not sure if good or bad
Bad. They may still win, but there's no way to spin this as good. They've had unbelievable success with him calling plays, and there's no way Sarkisian is going to step in and be just as effective immediately.

Wonder what happened.

It will be great if Alabama loses now. I do think this is a win-win for Kiffin. The worst situation would've been had he stayed and then lost.

People are getting sick of Sabin and a big loss now will fall on his shoulders.

Alabama fans?

Did you watch the game?

Some of it. I'm not saying he's necessarily a great OC or anything -- but I find it hard to believe they're better off with Steve Sarkisian on a week's preparation in someone else's offense than with the guy they've gone 40-3 under, and 14-0 this season.

BIG IF TRUE

I think the fact that Saban "mutually" let him go tells you everything you need to know about how much value he brings to the table. Saban isn't the kind of guy who lets an advantage go right before the title game.

I'm fairly certain I could call Alabamas offensive plays and still win games. I could call iso every play with those backs and probably win.

I'm more and more convinced the only reason Saban even has anybody else on staff is because they haven't figured out how to distribute his actual mind among multiple bodies. By that, I mean that everybody else is there to be an automaton carrying out his direct orders. Nobody on his coaching tree has done anything of any note. I think they'll be fine.

so, Kiffin being Kiffin

He's always seemed like he's totally in over his head. He's probably surprised himself with how long he's been able to keep the charade going. This next head coach assignment may be the last... but who knows.
