Kiffin won't be OC in title game

Saban told him to go, need that excuse in case Clemson wins.
Edit: didn't see corndogs post.

If Lane can convince 5 guys who are greyshirted or about to get dumped by the bama churn, he can easily win 10 games a year over the next 4 years at FIU (excluding the first year). Bama's cast off talent Would slaughter that conference.

FAU

Kiffin made a revealing, albeit unintentional, statement in his presser on the issue. He said that Sark was 100% focused on the team and that the two of them, Kiffin and Sark, are the same offensively. Sounds like Saban has been waiting to dump Kiffin since he was getting his game plan via texts from Sark and since before Sark got brought on as an analyst. The focus on FAU was apparent in the game vs. Washington. Saban wanted to blow them out and Hurts posted his season low performance. Kiffin is a commodity as an offensive coordinator.

I wonder what the impact will be to the players. Obviously, Sark knows the play call sheet and how Saban wants his game run (defense first), so I don't anticipate a lot of changes in the coordinator position. But I wonder how well-adjusted the QB and offensive playmakers are to Sark's style and how he runs the offense. I am also curious if Sark can maximize mediocre QB play like Kiffin could. Kiffin had a great ability to take a middle of the road QB and consistently put them in situations where they could succeed.

Bad. They may still win, but there's no way to spin this as good. They've had unbelievable success with him calling plays, and there's no way Sarkisian is going to step in and be just as effective immediately.

Wonder what happened.

So you mean good.

I think the biggest issue will be in things like timing and game flow. A coordinator does a lot more than just call plays. He has to have a communication groove with his key players, manage personnel on and off the field and coordinate what the assistant coaches are taking care of, while staying ahead of the play clock. It'll be a challenge to take on those game-time responsibilities in one week, with only the practice field to get into the groove before facing the country's #2 team that just shut out OSU. A pair of untimely substitution penalties could be the difference in this one.

Will be interesting to see if Sark can handle the pressure and not turn into "Shooter" Flatch the night before the big game.

Does Bammer still owe money to Kiffin? Does Saban have Kiffin's children in his basement? If not, I am starting to doubt Saban's commitment. Normally, I would have thought that Saban would have had Kiffin killed in an "unfortunate" car wreck spirited away to an undisclosed location rather than let him walk away a week before the NC game.

If Kiffin is in the free and clear, he could pick up some cash working as a Uncle Rico-like "defensive consultant" for Clem's son.

Best outcome for Kiffin: Stay on team, Ala win championship
Second best outcome for Kiffin: Leave team, Ala lose championship
