Clemson had gotten to the point where they were tackling us at the mesh. Not a lot Yates could do about that

So if we lost before KSU, and KSU was pivotal (indicating a point of a marked change), then shouldn't we win after KSU???

I don't know what you've been watching but we weren't competing with Clemson and UG '17-'18. The scores definitely looked a bit more respectable with the fewer possessions, though. Against the middling teams we've always had a puncher's chance both then and now.

Right. That's what I'm saying. Up until that point we weren't necessarily an after thought except 08 and we see how that worked. But that was CPJ's last run.....and the talent level wasn't even close.
