So, if I have this correct, you think Georgia Tech will get downplayed either way? I have no idea why we would get downplayed just because VPISU beats Boise St.

I just think that if VPI wins all the talk will be about VPI and anything we do will be pushed to the background. Same if any ACC team wins one of these early Big OOC games. That's just my impression of the media, purely opinion.

I disagree. FSU and UM are both still media darlings. Everyone in the media appears to want them to return to their previous successes. We may not hear the end of it if both UM and FSU win next week.

While I hate vippysue and d'uh u, I want them both to be undefeated and getting all kinds of hype before we play them and beat them (I don't think they play each other before us).

For the ramifications on this season and how it affects us, it would be better for VT to win. For the long term, I would rather see Boise State win and have them end up in the BCS title game so the BCS can DIAF and bring us closer to a playoff, which obviously helps us.

I disagree. I think that Boise would still be above us in the human polls, and the computers would not be a big enough difference to put us over the top.

You are obviously right. No one ever considers beating previously undefeated top 10 teams as more impressive than beating ACC teams that can't win out of conference. Clearly an undefeated Tech team from the ACC would jump ahead of an undefeated tOSU and an undefeated Boise in the polls just because we're sooooo cool.:rolleyes:

I don't mind you rooting againt rivals like VT and Miami all season, but don't pretend like it's a wash in GT's rankings if we go undefeated.
