Appears it’s happening. Which means Deion wouldn’t be going there.
Interesting.
Interesting.
Where are you seeing confirmation of this?Appears it’s happening. Which means Deion wouldn’t be going there.

No they wouldn’t and Deion wouldn’t go there.Would Ole Miss go after Deion?
Yeah, it seems to me Kiffin would be a candidate for Alabama, Clemson, TAMU or Texas when those jobs open up.Having a hard time believing this one. Auburn folks tend to think more highly of their program than they should. Ole Miss will pony up whatever it takes to keep Kiffin. Kiffin knows that Auburn is a head case with meddling boosters. He will use their interest to get a boost in pay though.
Ole Miss may have a problem there, Miss law limits how much they can pay a state employee and no more than a 4 year contract. Of course there are ways around this with booster money, or maybe they can get Brett Farve to divert some more money from medicare or something?Having a hard time believing this one. Google says this:Ole Miss may have a problem there, Miss law limits how much they can pay a state employee and no more than a 4 year contract. Of course there are ways around this with booster money, or maybe they can get Brett Farve to divert some more money from medicare or something?
Kiffin will make $7.25 million in 2022 and receive a $100,000 raise every year through the contract's expiration in 2025. Mississippi law prohibits a public employee from signing a contract longer than four years. A clear majority of Kiffin's contract is not paid by the university.
What is "many?" There are at least a dozen jobs better than Auburn. There are probably five in the SEC alone . . . Bama, ugag, LSU, UF and TA&M. Texas, Oklahoma, tOSU. Michigan. USC(w). ND. Oregon. Penn State. Clemson (?). Tennessee (?). FSU (?).Yeah, it seems to me Kiffin would be a candidate for Alabama, Clemson, TAMU or Texas when those jobs open up.
Of course, there aren't many jobs better than Auburn and they will all come with very high demands.
good call on UF, skipped that oneWhat is "many?" There are at least a dozen jobs better than Auburn. There are probably five in the SEC alone . . . Bama, ugag, LSU, UF and TA&M. Texas, Oklahoma, tOSU. Michigan. USC(w). ND. Oregon. Penn State. Clemson (?). Tennessee (?). FSU (?).
Cadillac is actually from my hometown of Gadsden, Alabama, and attended Etowah High School. We only overlapped by one year, and our high schools didn't play each other that year due to different classification levels, but his legend loomed large. I hope he continues to do well.If Auburn wins out, their fanbase will riot if they don't give the job to Cadillac.
Honestly, I may have jumped the gun. Twitter was abuzz that something official was coming but that hasn’t happened yet.Where are you seeing confirmation of this?

I still wouldn’t be surprised given how frustrated Kiffin seemed to be after Saturday’s loss.
Anniston, AL native myself. Went to Weaver High.Cadillac is actually from my hometown of Gadsden, Alabama, and attended Etowah High School. Pretty sure Oklahoma has the most wins in all of college football since WW2.good call on UF, skipped that one
OSU, Michigan, Tennessee: already set for now
FSU, Oregon, Penn State, ND, Oklahoma: not better than Auburn
USC(w): I don't see them hiring Kiffin again, also set for now
Pretty sure their coach just dumped them for USC. And ND coach also dumped them.Pretty sure Oklahoma has the most wins in all of college football since WW2.
If you think Auburn is better than ND and Oklahoma, that can only be regional bias.
Oklahoma and ND have also embarrassed themselves every time they’ve been on the national stage for 20 years because they can’t compete with SEC elites.Pretty sure Oklahoma has the most wins in all of college football since WW2.

They’ll think he can get better players at Auburn and that, since he’s close to the top at Ole Miss, he can get over the edge there. I don’t buy it, personally, but I’ve got a lot of Auburn friends who do.Why would Auburn hire a coach that can't beat Bama?
