PJ needs to be on the hot seat for this. He has the UGA game to win back my support. But this has been, except for last year, par for the course. This is a typical Paul Johnson year and is where we have been trending.

1. Thomas has regressed to the point that he is a third string QB. For every good play he makes there are two or three head scratchers that are WTF plays. Last year he had the talent around him to hide those mistakes. This year they are glaringly obvious. The fumble on the 20 and the overthrow for a touchdown this game. Taking us out of FG range against FSU. Not pretty.

2. The OL remind me of the poon squad from a few years back. A bunch of ankle biters. Utterly embarrassing.

2. ABs can't block. Young bunch but that still isn't an excuse.

3. WRs just can't seem to catch. If Jeune and Summers are starters then we have some serious problems at the spot. We really miss Smelter here.

4. Skov looks like Tarzan. Plays like Jane.

This season is not Roofs fault. His D plays. This is all on PJ and his crappy offense. How is it that every person on offense looks like they haven't been coached one bit after high school. That was a bunch of high school players I saw running around today. Embarrassing.

Last in the coastal is what we deserve. We are no better than that.

The hell if Roof is free from blame! How many times has the D not been ready to play? How often does the team winning the coin flip defer? Not against us. Pitt & UVA both come to mind - hell yes give us the ball! How many 3rd down conversions does our D give up? How much inconsistent poor tackling? Other teams rush our passer and we lose yardage - we pass rush other teams and we are lucky if they only GAIN 2 yards.

Now ALL this is CPJ's responsibility - he hired all the DC and sewak.

You are, however, correct about our O. The base formation takes up too many scholarships, it is unfair to JT5 asking him to start out under center, drop back, try to find receivers and have 1/1000th of a second to get it done.
 
3 ACCCG appearances, 2 Orange Bkwls, and you're gonna let one bad season take it all away from you? Well, bye.

Your original post, primarily the line he highlighted, is something I'd expect to read from an angry teenage fan. Once you discount our good/great seasons for the sake of whining that this is somehow a typical performance by a Paul Johnson team, nothing you have to say about our football team is worth reading. Anyone with any modicum of sense knows that's bullshit, so if you want to find someone to agree with you then check with jacketup or some other moron likely spending his Saturday night eating paint chips.

Dunno man. UVA scored 27 points for the game, with 10 of them coming on very short fields after the O coughed the ball up (drives of 17 yards and 30 yards). Not sure how you can pin the blame on the D for this.
 
H-Town, why don't you just man up and call to fire Paul Johnson now so we don't have to suffer through another month of your belly aching before you get banned.
 
We have a rough schedule this year, which should probably translate into 8-9 wins given our baseline talent level. Factor in an ungodly amount of injuries and underclassmen starting, and I would expect about 5-6 wins realistically.

Granted this is all with the benefit of hindsight.

200 plus yards rushing to one of the worst rushing teams in the ACC? 7 of 14 third downs? 36-plus minutes ToP?

Hey, the offense was bad. But the D has to come to play, too. Field goal, TD, TD on three straight drives, even if one started at the 30, is not good. And for some reason, their best receiver was left all alone on the touchdown pass after JT's fumble.

Does the D bear all the blame? Probably not. But they do carry a significant portion of the culpability.

Bullshit????

he had one good year last year. His only other year of success was with another coaches players. Your definition of success is far different from mine.

If you don't like my thread then get out and go post about how great things were when Vad or Tevin were here. Or go post about losing to Kansas or Middle Tennessee.

He's beaten uga, won the coastal multiple times. Had a few double digit win seasons, been to two orange bowls. But why worry about facts. Never mind troll on.

"Another coach's players" is a flimsy, pathetic rallying cry for simpletons who demand blood whenever things aren't going well. And that's about the sort of idiot you'd have to be to look at last year as a fluke or this year as par for the course.

If you don't like people responding to your infantile whining by telling you that you're an infantile whiner, then perhaps StingTalk isn't the place for you. I'm sure you can find somewhere else to post about how great things would be if we only had your choice for a different coach.

I gave him credit for those two years. Other than that I see no reason for putting him on the mile high pedestal you have him on.

We are last in the Coastal. Last.
