Let me make this clear

I'm not going to dig and find all the data but we've had this discussion here several times before. There is data out there to back it up. Under center, defenses are more prone to load the box and stop short run attempts more than when in shotgun because the defense is typically spread out more to cover more. Sure there may be higher risk of a negative play in the shotgun than under center, but there is also the higher percentage chance to gain more yards. Again you are walking this back and making it sound like we are only talking about backed up at your own goal line. You specifically said both goal lines, which I am talking about. And the reason I outlined for you is they do it because the data shows you have a higher percentage of a positive run out of the gun. Simple as that. I guess you are smarter than every single coach that has ever run a shotgun formation from either goal line.
So why take the higher risk at your own goal line for giving the defense a potential 9 points. Sure, you can get more yards, but that’s not what you’re worried about as a team in your own goal line. You’re worried about getting 3/4 yards a play until you get a first down. On the other hand, on the other goal line, why do you need that many yards? You only need 2-3. Sure the box is more stacked when you have a tight end or so when under center, but if you have the EXACT same form action as the spread, which is a 4 wide look, and you move the QB under center, the D still has to respect the 4 wide look. If they don’t, then bootlegs are your easiest option.

So why take the higher risk at your own goal line for giving the defense a potential 9 points?
For the last time, they do it because statistically it is a better option. Do you think they would do it if they didn't have that knowledge? You are acting like we are the only team you have ever seen do this. If you go under center every time you are backed up at your own goal line, you probably end up in a punting situation >90% of the time.

EDIT: It's also a feel type of thing when coaches mix it up, LIKE OURS DO. The way their DL was blowing our OL up, under center runs were going nowhere. From the gun you have a better look and a chance to see a seam, make a guy miss, or bounce it to the outside.

Other than Oregon, no team consistently runs spread in their own end zone with a high success rate. You keep saying statistically and haven’t brought up a single stat.

And also, no, that would make it harder to find a seam because the D Line is just going to collapse. Why do you think Pitt ran QB sneak EVERY PLAY on short yardage

In no way shape or form do I want Tech to fail. When I saw what Collins was doing his first few weeks here building a brand, I was excited. He seemed to have built himself a decent career at Temple. However, I just don’t see what Collins is trying to do here anymore. We’re worrying too much about lights that don’t work, money down, uniforms, etc. He is a hell of a recruiter, but I wouldn’t say a great football coach. I can’t tell what he’s trying to do on offense at all.

We are one of the worst in the NCAA in penalties, which reflects coaching, we run shotgun from our own two and the opponents two for who knows what reason. I don’t want to blame officials, but last night was horrendous; however, we can’t solely blame others for our own demise. We blame Narduzzi for last night, I don’t know why, but we do. We should never give up 350 rushing yards, unless we play a 3O team.

Now let me list the good. He is a great recruiter and stealing some great prospects from other teams. He has gotten some much needed transfers. He has built a culture that has made Tech games more fun and enjoyable than the monotonous games under Johnson, where the energy is the same for Clemson as it is for Alcorn State.

In conclusion, I believe that Collins needs help on the coaching a lot. Whether that’s new coordinators or taking some time away from Waffle House and studying loads of film. I’m not at practice so I can’t speak on his behalf about that, but it seems the same as Pastners no contact practices translated into game situations.

Carson Newman sux and so do you. STFU

The stats show that running the ball out of shotgun is more efficient than under center, overall, from anywhere. So it doesn't matter if you're at your own goal line, the 40 or the other teams goal line. Here are some more:

And by the way, a little life tip, when literally NOBODY agrees with you, you are typically the one that's wrong.

Kind of like "if you look around the room and everyone is an asshole, then you're the asshole"

In no way shape or form do I want Stingtalk to fail. When I saw what Beestorm was doing the first few years here building a brand, I was excited. However, I just don't see what Beestorm is trying to do here anymore. We're worrying about light shows and box-score scouts and autistic posters with no empathy, but we are forgetting about the out and out trolls.

Like the ones with Lost Art of Satire below their avatar.

No, you're not. So shut the öööö up with your idiotic "guarantees" about things you don't know öööö about. If you've got an opinion, either stop presenting it as some quasi-expertise or shove it right back up your ass. You're not a satirist and you don't know öööö any better than the rest of the morons here. You're not the new pet troll because you're not smart or funny enough. And nobody wants extra clarity gazing into a septic tank. Fall in line and admit you don't know öööö about öööö or öööö off.
STFU. No one give a rat's ass to read your opinions on anything. Unless they're in need of a good laugh.

So in a debate, if you don’t prove anything, nobody is able to take your argument seriously. Unless you’re talking to other people in the same bubble as your own
You haven’t proven anything other than you can spout opinions while your thumb is in your mouth.

You haven’t proven anything other than you can spout opinions while your thumb is in your momma's mouth. Or @$$.

Did, the only reason we let you post here is because your mamma can do three of us at once.
