He will sign with one of the MS schools and hope he gets in later. This is extremely easy to figure out guys. Don’t overthink it.

No. This means nothing. This is actually a backwards statement. Why would he sign with GT if he doesn't have the grades to get in?

Wrong. No need to hold it against the kid but this has been expected
 
He didn't qualify academically for early signing, so GT did not send scholarship papers for today. His ACT score was not high enough to get into GT. Good luck to the kid, wherever he decides to further his football career.

As much as the previous regime flipped recruits from places like Troy, we shouldn't poke fun at their academic requirements

Besides no one knows how many 4* & 5* recruits in the next 3 classes have older brothers that signed with Troy for unknown reasons, and now on a public GT FB message board, we have Fans making it look like this Recruit is flawed or dumb

The self righteous, smarmy, smug elitism of some segments of our Fanbase hurts our Recruiting, and our Attendance

A lot of 4* & 5* recruits that read this topic wouldn't want to attend GT, nor play for a-hole fans that say these kind of things about Teens, especially their friends

Many of these recruits are friends with each other from AAU sports to the Camp\Combine circuit, to them it looks like a-hole adults are calling their friends flawed or dumb because they got a full FB scholly to Troy, and didn't go to almighty GT

This turns off a lot of Recruits that might consider GT

When you're where we are talent-wise, you need to walk a tighrope and not burn any bridges

Meh, UGAg has managed to run off two 5* QB's in the last few years. A lot of their fanbase was horrible about it. Hasn't had any impact on their recruiting. Hell, they went in and just took Ohio State's QB commit.

The original fact of the matter is that the kid really wanted to go to Tech, yet couldn't even manage to know the school's name. Some would see that as an ultimate slap in the face. This doesn't mean I condone calling the guy dumb or anything, but it does explain some of the flippant comments by some of our members.

LOL. You want us to cut all the recruits who don’t fit our new coach’s mold. What about THEIR potential all star siblings?

Totally different scenario

Elite HS FB players know and understand that incoming HC want "their guys" to give those precious schollies to they expect it

whereas the lower level G5 type recruits that can latch on to a GT, wanna hold on for dear life to a P5 scholly by any means they can, even through emotional appeals to a soft gullible fanbase to honor the previous HCs commits

So now you’re an expert on what 18 year old kids think? Besides what makes you think anything has anything todo with the fanbase? Your “logic” is getting worse the more you troll the boards man.
 
With the timing of when CGC started and how long he had until signing day, cutting bait with more than a couple of our commitments would have been suicide for this year’s class. If you’ve heard coach talk at all about recruiting, then you know it’s all about relationships (& Ford Raptors). Those aren’t built overnight. Most of the available players in the 2019 class were already committed and had existing relationships with their school of choice.
 
Honestly, I don't see any obvious guys that CGC wouldn't want from our signees. We don't really have any AB/ATH in this signing class right now... no obvious reaches or undersized guys.

Ahmarean Brown and Kalani Norris were probably going to be ABs for CPJ but they might also be the best offensive players in the class. Good in the slot, good on reverses, and have the speed to go get the ball down the field. If fact, these guys would be wasting some talent if they were playing AB. Zach Owens might not have gotten much of a look from CGC, maybe. Still, he's a 6-3 195# WR and those are never bad to have around. Maybe Amerson, as well, but he has great size.

The guys in the secondary all have great size. The DL prospects... we'll see. Not a lot of size, but we also don't need the bulk as much in a 4 man front.
