Lucas Johnson

exactly. Graham is the future and may be a generational guy. Tobias seems like another run-first guy. Run first to 6 wins. Meh. Throw in the frosh. See Alabama vs mutts. That öööö can work.
A generational guy!? Where is the ladel for that kool-aid?

Tobias was a winner in HS. Don’t know how it will translate now, but he would put the team on his back during crunch time.

3 year starter in class AAAAAA, state championship as a sophomore, 34-5 career record, 3000+ rushing yards w/40 TDs, 3800+ passing yards w/32 TDs. TO ran the TO in high school from the pistol. Competitor, winner, and great kid. Patiently waiting his turn, not afraid of the competition. He is the type that once he gets that chance on the field, he will be tough to remove. I would feel confident (and excited) if he's forced into action early this year.

I hate to read this about Johnson. I hate it when kids of any team, who spend the whole year working out and building their lives around this game, get hurt. Thinking about this, how important it now is to keep Marshall healthy, I realize it's kind of amazing how healthy Johnson's starting quarterbacks have stayed. It used to be the kneejerk reaction of anti-option fans, "That QB will last about two games." I can remember Tech QBs missing some time, even a bowl, but mostly it has worked out. Here's to extra time to get Marshall's backup TO-ready, but also to the football gods keeping TaQuon healthy through a very tough schedule.
