Luginbill/Stewart

That team crapped on themselves. I remember going to a party in 1994 right off of campus and walked out back to get some keg beer and there was the entire starting oline passing around a joint. So while I'm pouring my beer I mutter under my breath, "And you wonder why we suck so bad". Almost got my ass kicked for that comment.

Barrel - would that have been at a house about 1 block removed from 10th Avenue. If so, I was probably at the same party. I, too, saw tons of that stuff going on.

Funny story - There was an attempted mugging of me walking/stumbling home from that party, but I got away and ran. They chased. Luckily, the incident went down only about a block away from my house, so I made it home safe. Pissed. Couldn't sleep. Made some dry ice "care packages" for the neon under those fellas' car. Watched the fireworks. Slept like a baby.

Luginbill is a close personal friend of mine still to this day-talk to him all the time. he NEVER says anything bad about GT. Some of you need to chill a bit. You are right....we sucked in '94 (and my brother was on the team as well) but comments directed at Luginbill are crazy. A douche, etc......get real!

Dood you're totally spoiling internet tough guy's day with reality.

btw, for those blaming pot for the bad Lewis years, it didnt change much under OLeary. I know this from observation.

Don't forget Rueben Houston under Gailey (got wrapped up in a conspiracy to distrube 94 POUNDS of MJ.)

Besides, I don't think anyone was blaming it on that. It was more anecdotal of the team's overall attitude.

I also know this is something that occurs in all programs. With college age kids especially, there are always going to be groups that smoke pot.

We must all know each other. I'm sure I was there too.

What, we must all know each other because we've all seen football players smoking pot at a home park party?

It is home park after all.

No, the three of us probably know each other because we were in school at the same time, I was friends with BOR, and I was at that party. I can pick out the house right now on Google Maps.

I'm surprised to hear that. I was a GT SA 84-87 and we got tested. Had one teammate who quit his junior year becasue he knew he couldn't pass the test.

I've got to believe that SA's are being tested these days...

10th Avenue.

The Manhattan campus? I can attest to seeing some SA's partake in said activities during O'Leary era. Although not to rampant group usage.

Don't at least 3/4 of normal college students anyway? Maybe not at Tech, but in a more "normal" college atmosphere.
