Father, if Grobe had switched sidelines and coached our team the Wake game would be different.

If so would you give us an explanation as to why you have such undying loyalty to him? I am not asking this to be sarcastic or to be a jerk. I was just ragging Wasp a little bit.
As for supporting CG, there are a couple of reasons I am happy to do so:
He's the Georgia Tech coach, and I'm a GT fan. In other words, loyalty.
Everyone who has spoken about him who knows football, former players, former colleagues, guys who make a living observing sports, our own AD, with perhaps one exception (Aikman), say he's a great hire and a great fit for Tech. I do not include typists on sports boards, such as myself, among those who Know Football.
There is no need to repeat the endless remarks about his first year blues. I think even -ahem- Jim Grobe might have had a little problem at GT this year, particularly as a first year coach.
The recruiting class, so far, looks excellent. He is apparently able to sell Tech and Tech football.
Of course, if he eventually tanks, I'll be happy to say goodbye. And I'll support the next GT coach.
