Mark Bradley gets one right

When are we gonna get over the illusion that we are in the same class as the UGAs or Clemsons or even half the SEC teams? Until we get the 4 & 5 stars, we can continue to expect to get trounced by these afore mentioned teams. I've bought into the CPJ offense, but it's time to try someone else.
5 stars ain't coming to Tech. Most 4 stars won't either. And the offense has very little to do with it.
You want 5 stars? First, stock up on manila envelopes. Second, stock up on $100 bills to stuff in said envelopes for delivery to third party for those 5 stars. Add in a get out of calculus free card and there might be a chance to get them.
We've made some necessary improvements to get some of the better recruits to take a good look at us. But the 5 stars are a different investment category. You have to pay a lot more for them.

The thing about Paul’s offense is that it is awesome when it is run against equals. That is why it worked so well at Southern. They were playing peer athletes and he was out scheming them.

The problem is at this level, games are won or lost on recruiting and we are clearly losing there due in large part to Paul’s offense. Every now and then we surprise someone and beat superior athletes, but we also stand a better than equal chance of getting completely outmanned like we did today. That is going to happen more often than not at this level.

PJ had better athletes at Southern than his peers (Adrian Peterson, Greg Hill, Chaz Williams) and was outscheming them. He didn't get many chances then against bigger schools because they didn't want to play him when he was at Southern and after he damn near beat Oregon State there there was nobody answering those calls. He caught a bad break when his GSU team played up in Athens in a monsoon (and against Richard Seymour and Travis Stroud) and after they changed DCs in the offseason. PJ likely would have put up 50 on them on a better field and against the former DC.

We aren't losing recruits due to Paul's offense. We are losing recruits because Georgia Tech is a terribly unfun place to go to college, especially by comparison to the perks football players at other schools get.

I have 2 degrees from GT. There is no goddamn way I would come to GT to play football. I'd go somewhere with free classes, booster money under the table, and an endless stream of co ed poontang.

This is wrong. We have beaten ‘more talented’ teams with the 3o. But, we have built Duke by running the 3o. Vad was our last big win against them recruiting. Cut is picking up playmakers on offense that would have typically come here.
Duke athletes don't have to study, and Duke doesn't even have to publish their entrance requirements because they're private.

Maybe you're the problem

the only way they are going to see five stars at georgia tech is if they buy a telescope"- SEC Network
