Players have enough to try and focus on during a game. And should not have to worry about catching this virus on the sidelines.

Even if Kemp says no, GT should require it because of the Delta variant and the fact that players from 9 different states on the schedule are being asked to adhere to COVID protocols. It would be downright ridiculous if players or teams can't play because somebody gets infected while politicians are making political decisions and not health decisions.

having attended a near capacity Braves game this year .. makes it even more obvious what the decision needs to be. we shall see. they are holding their cards to the last minute.

Tyranny? Masking is just a temporary minor inconvenience in limited circumstances until this once-in-100-years pandemic is over, which it probably will be in a matter of months. The unvaccinated South will burn through with Delta infections and herd immunity will be reached.

I think you are taking the idea of liberty too far. There is no absolute liberty in any society.

I'm not suggesting anything. I'm flat out saying that viruses don't care where our imaginary line in the sand is drawn. It's looking for a host and has no problem moving from person to person inside or outside.

Have we forgotten the White House Rose Garden event?

We can't afford to lose any players.

Wear the mask if GT officials require a mask to attend. If you don't want to wear it, stay home.

Vaccinated people are still getting sick and can pass the virus on possibly to players on the sideline. If it was mandatory that you have a vaccine to attend games, people would have a fit. GT and GTAA will no doubt attempt to accommodate fans by allowing them with masks.

Yeah we have actual doctors and cdc people on this board and they’re saying the chance of serious disease is slim to none for the vaccinated. You’re basically freaking out over nothing.

I will be at BDS regardless, but repeating statements like this is 100% untrue and pure political propaganda if you "believe in science" unless you think that 0% risk for unvaccinated people is the goal.

How many players can we afford to quarantine 10-14 days at a time?

the risk of a player getting covid from someone in the stands is tiny and, compared to going to class and doing Lord knows what college kids are doing during the week, is basically zero. the players are not within 6 feet of anyone in the stands unless they are trying to be.

Who said anything about 0% risk? We're trying to keep players on the field to play an entire season that isn't upended by having to keep quarantining players. The COVID protocols dictate who is available to play. So if GTAA and Georgia Tech want to do what they can to keep their players playing---because they CAN still be infected--- then require the masks, IMO.

I want to see a full unimpeded season played.
