well yes it wouldnt be the pendulum itself but its another log on the fire. what i want is less kindling. i mean Germany had democratic elections in the 1920's until nazi's figured out they could not take over via force, coup, whatever. they had to do it with elections. over many years, slowly taking majority, increasing their base. and their power grabbing opportunity was the great depression. then in 33' they consolidated enough power to completly take over. but it was 10-15 year process to get there. slow. sneaky.
