Mel, Why don't you have Michael Crabtree on your Big Board? All he did in the off-season was get better. What is your opinion of Graham Harrell?
Mel Kiper (1:16 PM)
He's on the Big Board for positions, but not the top 25. That's for seniors. With the juniors, I also list third-year sophomores. He's the No. 1 WR on the position list. If he delcares in January, more than likely, he'll be in the top 5. He's on the junior list as the top WR.
1. QB Sam Bradford - Oklahoma
4. DT Gerald McCoy - Oklahoma
8. WR Dez Bryant - Oklahoma State
9. OT Trent Williams - Oklahoma
14. OT Russell Okung - Oklahoma State
15. TE Jermaine Gresham - Oklahoma
God almighty, 6 of the top 15 from the Okie state?
You have to be an ESPN Insider for the list online, but he said it on ESPN.
1. QB Sam Bradford - Oklahoma
2. S Eric Berry - Tennessee
3. DE Carlos Dunlap - Florida
4. DT Gerald McCoy - Oklahoma
5. DT Ndamukong Suh - Nebraska
6. S Taylor Mays - USC
7. QB Jevan Snead - Ole Miss
8. WR Dez Bryant - Oklahoma State
9. OT Trent Williams - Oklahoma
10. WR Arrelious Benn - Illinois
11. QB Colt McCoy - Texas
12. DT Arthur Jones - Syracuse
13. RB Jonathan Dwyer - Georgia Tech
14. OT Russell Okung - Oklahoma State
15. TE Jermaine Gresham - Oklahoma
I think I read that Dwyer beat Eric Berry in the 100M 3 out of four times in high school. Is that right or am I off on that?
If true, that's awesome.
I think Berry is a stud but I wouldn't trade Uno for him.
Dwyer will no doubt be the first back taken and I think it will end up being top ten. There just aren't a lot guys in the draft next year that can be that everydown back, IMO. Most of them are change of pace types or are mid-round talents. Dwyer is really the only first round talent back that will also be an everydown player. I could be wrong, though.
Mel Kiper's draft picks have never made any sense whatsoever to me. That said, it's bittersweet to see Dwyer up there. It's great that he's getting Moreno-levels of preseason hype, without being a complete dip****. But this is just one more reason for him to forgo his senior year. And selfishly, I'd like him to stay, and finish his degree.
