Mike Leach

Leach would fail miserably with the athletes he would be able to recruit to Tech.

Texas Tech and WSU are not the easiest schools to recruit for either, although both can get dumb players. Leach would recruit better than CPJ, field a better defense, and still bring an atypical offense that is hard to defend, relies on execution, and kids will want to play for it.

I dont see that, but im all ears. Why?

Leach turned any old rag arm into all-con. He threw so fast his line didnt even need to be great. And decent enough WR are a dime a dozen and fall all over themselves to play in his system. Wouldve loved to see Stewart under Leach.

That, and the city of Atlanta is an athlete draw. Washington State University is literally in the middle of nowhere

Plus, we could hire Craig James' son to be our radio sidekick

Why? Passing Paul Johnson is the exact opposite of Paul Johnson.

What is hilarious is Gailey haters thinking we can recruit and compete under a balanced vanilla offense like the teams in the Playoff run.

Really just from the perspective of all the myths that certainly must accompany such a unique and unbalanced offense, I see the Leach parallel. You'll hear about extra prep time and quarterbacks getting hit all the time and probably "who would play RB for this system" I'm sure.

Not the opposite at all. He's arrogant, stubborn, runs a weird offense that hinders recruiting to some degree, and doesn't give a shit what you think about it. It just so happens that he passes a lot instead of running a lot. Dumbass Texas Tech fans ran him out of Lubbock just like some GT fans wanted to do to Paul Johnson here for pretty much all of the same reasons. Unbalanced offense, hard to recruit, curmudgeonly personality, elite seasons a rarity amongst relative mediocrity, etc.

TBH I just want to see this at GT:

I would enjoy the entertainment value of Leach being interviewed by the Atlanta media, but I can't stop picturing him running his offense with a Reggie Ball at QB.

I dont see any of those as the primary complaint. Most anti Pauls really were all about "running is so 1800s and passing is where its at." They blamed recruiting on it. They whined anytime we were down more than 7.

If UGA struggles at all against Bama the run playcalling will be the first complaint.
