The awesome thing about those THC edibles is the dosages. It's slow onset, and you run the risk of eating way more than you should, nor even could you if you were smoking it. If you miss the fine print that says "one dose is a quarter of this cookie, please for the love of god don't eat the whole cookie," then you can end up in a serious world of the ööööing wonderfuls.

This happened to me. Had half a gummy worm. An hour and a half later I didn't feel anything so my friend gave me another half. An hour and a half later it all hit at once and I freaked the öööö öööö out. Felt like my brain had split into two and each half was screaming at the other and trying to kill it.

Never doing weed again. One of the worst experiences of my life.

This is bullshit. Nicotine is extremely addictive.

I quit smoking in 2008. Never once did I miss the physical act of smoking. But I sure did miss that nicotine.

Started vaping again last year, because of a very high anxiety situation, and then kept with it because of a series of additional ridiculous high anxiety situations. I might quit again, I might not, but even in this string of vaping I've never missed smoking. It's always the nicotine.

Because nicotine is ööööing good. Best drug I ever had.

I don't see what's so harmful about the delivery method for marijuana. It's not great for your lungs, but there's no indication it's near as cancerous as tobacco. Tobacco has radioactive isotopes in it.

Nicotine is extremely addictive, but the habit is strong, too. This is why snus, gum, etc. never worked for me, but vaping did because it replaced both the habit and the nic. Now, if you take the actual smoke from burning paper and leaves out, nicotine is about the same type of thing as caffeine, which nobody gets up in arms about. Everything about how we treat substances is arbitrary and dumb.

The average person does not react like you did. Just like not everyone who drinks gets addicted. People are different.

If everyone reacted like you to nicotine, you wouldnt have so many people who smoke occasionally. Or dip occasionally. Or smoke a cigar once a year.

There are more ex-smokers than smokers, which would be hard if it was primarily the physical addiction you say it is for average people. Most people quit cold turkey. And if you talk to vapers, massive numbers of them eliminate nicotine from their liquids but still vape.

What doesn't? All plants pick up chemicals from the soil.

You seem awful dismissive of the arsenic, acrolein, formaldehyde, etc., etc. that is in weed smoke. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...FjADegQICBAB&usg=AOvVaw0kdpzQgHViW-kbmcVk2oxd

If you can't dose edibles properly, then vape it. Get a Ploom or a Volcano.

Ok i think its about time this thread goes subterranean.

Some people don’t see marijuana as a drug because it is not a pharmaceutical or is not processed to a high degree. Peyote, mushrooms, and coca leaves would also qualify as drugs that are not drugs under that definition.
Marijuana is not physically addictive and it is impossible to overdose on it. People don't kill each other to get another drag. Alcohol is much more destructive to society yet it is completely legal and not widely considered a drug.

why are we still talking about this kid? He's been gone for 2 years and ain't coming back. He was given 2 chances (that none of us would be given in the private sector nor as undergrads at Ma Tech) and ööööed up both of 'em.

Why are we still talking about posts are about as useless as actually talking about it. People are talking about it because they feel like they have something to say about it.
