Summary from the chat with dem is this:
  • Had Muschamp offer ready to go
  • Shot-down by Clough, who is under pressure by the the big money donors
  • We probably lost a recruit
  • Johnson is the money's choice
  • RN is still in the mix
  • We will interview two more guys, one of them Joker Philips
  • DRad may leave due to this "vote of no confidence"
Thanks for letting us know Dem. Also, the "dream team" staff was pure rumor, and Giff was going to be Muschamp's DC.

If we can get hatcher or PJ why go after Muschamp don't make sense to me to proven winners. if dan wants de-fenss guy why not hire John T.

I hate red and black as much as anyone, but the fact that the money can't get past that and let our AD do his job is sad, very sad....Mike

Also, the "dream team" staff was pure rumor . . .

Please, who was supposed to be the dream team?

The more I think about this, the more I get pissed off. The big money donors can go burn in hell along with that coward Clough.

This is unacceptable. Why in the hell do we have an AD then?

You are absolutely correct, and Dan must be wondering the same thing.

If Muschamp was "unacceptable" then that should have been made clear prior to the past weekend.

Dan must feel like the rug had been pulled from under him.

Clough in essence stabbed Dan in the back with this pussy move.

If I were Dan, I would leave immediately. He's trying to turn us into a national power and our administration is ****ing resisting! It makes perfect sense now why we are an average program: b/c our administration has absolutely no guts whatsoever.

Hey guys, this goes on everywhere. Where do you think the money comes from? Also, rumors, rumors, rumors. I still say until changes are made on the hill, it will continue.

As I pointed out in the chat, part of the goal of firing Gailey and bringing in someone new was to unite the fan-base.

It seems that this was clearly not going to happen under WM if you had the big money people and others against him from the get-go.

If Clough was trying to avoid repeating the behind-the-scenes ego fights once he became aware of strong opposition to WM, then I don't blame him based on the goal of a united fan-base under a coach.

It seems, more than anything else, that we are headed for a very ugly and public power/influence struggle between the different factions in the fan-base.

Who ever said a goal and or reason for a change was to unite the fan base?

Where does this leave Hatcher.

That is very interesting. The "source" on TOS is in direct contradiction with this. Hmmmmmmm

I heard everything posted above from a source close to members of the athletic board. Everything posted is entirely accurate.

WELCOME TO SMALL TIME COLLEGE FOOTBALL. That is where GT is stuck because our big time donors are small minded idiots.

This is the darkest period in GT football that I can remember, and I remember pre-Homer Rice days when Susan did our recruiting.

I am about to give up. After all these years, I have had it with Clough. Who would have thought that a GT alum president would be the end of GT football? Turns out that it is not a UGa dog that is the problem, it is GT alumni.
