Muschamp out

How could the players get sick of him? don't they graduate after a few years..?

You're more than entitled to your opinion but your acting like a little girl about it. you don't know any more than the next guy about Muschamp. But DRad does...He's been excellent so far so let him do his job. Hopefully you still support the team if WM is hired. If you don't then you really are a little girl.

Yeah, whatever happened with that? Did the Tubs to Ark rumors ever get to a resolution? I would think that they had to be settled, since WM would probably be a candidate for that job if it opened up even this winter (he probably wouldn't be the front-runner, but his name would probably be in the mix).

Guys, if he gets the job, it won't be because he's a screamer. And what he's done in the past may not correlate to the successs he may or may not have here.

well, IMO, DRad has NOT been 'excellent so far', as he has done the one thing i hoped he would not do in firing Gailey. When he did, i hoped he at least had a good hire up his sleeve, not we see that this is not the case either.

personally, i think he wanted Jimbo, but something fell through, but that is pure speculation

and i think it is very clear that MANY other GT faithful do not support this hire

i dont know the future, but NEITHER does DRad, and i wont trust him blindly.

also, you could argue the same thing about our fans booing Gailey, he's the coach, if you dont let him do the job then you are just a little girl

if you met me, you would never say that to me again, i bet (not a threat, i just dont look very girlish)

Even the Governator can act like a girl if he wants to.

We let Gailey do his job..he didn't do it...so he got booed. DRad hasn't even had a real chance to do his job and you're already booing him. And you're already booing the new coach before you even know who it is.

Were you happy with 7-5?

i am not booing anyone. i sent DRad a letter as to what i think and i will renew my season tickets and pay the extra (again) and cheer for the team REGARDLESS of who the coach is. that cannot be said of the infantile "please me now" kneejerks that sold most of their tickets around me to the big games and still had the nerve to boo at Gailey.

i am upset that these loud fair-weather supporters have as much influence over the program

am i happy with 7-5?? ultimately no, but i am not stupid and have to look at the situation that Tech is in. With limited scholarships and no good QB for the last few years, i dont think many coaches could have done it going no worse than 7-5 over the span of Gailey.

Would you have kept O'Leary? i would have, but he went 7-5 his last two seasons also, and that is against weaker overall ACC talent

i was happy with the way our recruiting was picking up, and the fact that until this year we had improved or stayed equal in record every year. i personally think that going 5-7, 9-4, 10-3, 2-10, and 5-7 is not a good way to go, but other would rather have that 10 win season and a few losing ones than to be 8-4 or 7-5 every year.

i dont think this was the right year to let Gailey go. why?

a) too many open coaching positions
b) too good of a class shaping up in recruiting
c) gripes about consecutive losses to UGay are ill-founded considering that they have been ranked in the top 10 every one of those years but one (they were 23rd that year)
c) made it seem like Tech is pandering to the people that i least want to influence our program
 
What say you about never finishing in the top 25? No BCS bowl? 0 QB development? Horrible, mostly boring to watch football for 6 years?

Let's not get back into it about Gailey though that's just dumb.

As long as you aren't going to be a wimp and "sell your tickets" and "boycott the program" ifyour guys doesn't get hired then you're OK in my book.
 
if DRad is worth a nickel

he would meet individually with all the key voices on the board before a board meeting and know whether or not he had the votes for his candidate.

he would never bring a candidate to a board meeting without knowing that he was going to get voted in.

that's how things work at that level.

Assuming of course that he is competent.


he probably made his calls, saw he didn't have the votes and punted on muschamp

No actually he was 7-5 in his last year. He was 9-3 the one before. Just sayin'

Face it. To some beating Samford is a greater thing than beating ugag. That makes Chan Gailey the greatest coach in the world. And he is more important than Tech.

And if you disagree with the theory then you are a dog, eventhough beating the dogs does not matter.

And poor Chan had a reduction in ships, but he never gave them out anyway.

I would bet any of the candidates would at least care about winning the game.
