Shouldn't he have HOPE as an in-state student? Or did he have a sub 3.0 HS GPA and didn't earn HOPE only to be a 3.7 GPA uGA student?

Also, looking back at Rodrigo's recruiting, is it true that he was a 2* recruit until the uGA walk-on offer, which immediately moved him to 3*? That's how it looks to me. No major offers other than uGA (Army, Cornell, Mercer, UAB).

I'm thinking that the issue is that even with a HOPE scholarship or loans, he cannot live the life of the rest of the team in terms of preferred housing, meal plan, etc. Hes really just a guy who was supposed to hang out with the team during the season who ended up with a spot on the field (in this case because the guy ahead of him was awful).
