First off I want to start by saying I was very pleased with the amount of fans we had and it was great weather.
Jaybo Shaw - was the worst I've seen him in spring practice all year. He was missing a lot of reads and had way to many turnovers. He didn't really have time to make reads or anything though since the OL was horrible. He kept the ball way to many times and probably had over 20 carries. He did have a few nice runs. His passes looked okay not great but not awful. Jaybo is a tough kid though. I will give him that. He took several hard knocks but got right back up. Didn't look comfortable with Bedford at all. Jaybo has looked a lot better in other spring practices.
Tevin Washington - he has come so far in over a year. He's finally starting to learn the offense and is showing improvement. He has a lot of athletic ability that just can't be taught. His passing had improved but he still has a long way to go. He did impress me a lot today though. I would give him a B+
Jonathan Dwyer - didn't play very much but had a nice run. He broke two tackles in the backfield and got about a 30 yard run. He did look a step slower though. Didn't really play enough to grade.
Preston Lyons - this kid has really stepped his game up. He had a solid game. He is very tough to bring down and fights to stay up. A very tough kid. I would give him a B.
Richard Watson - another kid that is tough. Just another guy that adds a lot of depth to the B back spot. Had some good runs today and very good size. He has a ton of potential. Give him a B-
Roddy Jones - really played a lot today. He had some good runs and is really understanding where to run with the pitch. He had some nice catches as well. Has improved since last year. Give him a B.
Marcus Wright - started today and I don't see him losing his job. He is really fast and makes plays when he gets the ball in his hand. He is also the best blocker on the team IMO. Give him a B+
Embry Peeples - really showed out today. He had a 60 yard TD run in which he looked like the play was over. Also made a great catch in which he had to come back to the ball. Give him an A for the day.
Anthony Allen - very impressive. He is a really tough and has great speed for a guy his size. He is a monster. He showed great moves in the open field and did a lot better job at blocking. He seems like has a real mean streak in him. A+ for the day.
Demarius Thomas - didn't play enough to grade. But he did make an amazing catch. His blocking is great.
Tyler Melton - blocking is getting a lot better. He got a couple of reverse pitches today and looked amazing. He wad so great in the open field with the ball. B+
OL - really needs a lot of work. The defensive line was in the backfield as soon as the ball was snapped. It didn't look good at all. There was a lot of fumbles with the center exchange. What's great is we had over 800 yards with no offensive line. I really hope we get a lot better him. D+ here.
Sedric Griffin - this kid is nasty. He hits with everything he has everytime. He looked improved from last year. B+
Brad Jefferson - had a ton of tackles today. Was in the backfield a lot and forced a fumble. I feel a lot better about our LB core after today. B.
Jon Lockhart - really came out of nowhere but was good. He had 9 tackles that I counted and flyed over the field. B
Morgan Burnett - he seems liked he has bulked over the year. Didn't play a lot though.
