NC State Post Game Thread

Disagree. The defense was good today. Not just flashes of potential, but sustained periods of high quality play.

The run game was also quite good, though I'm not sure how much of that is the coaches versus individual talent.
Id disagree I think our defense has players making plays when they actually do well, but are out of position taking bad angles at most times. They were making 1st downs consistently, 2nd and 21 after the personal foul was awful, our blitzes are telegraphed and our zones are garbage, imo.

I don't think CGC is going anywhere regardless of what happens next year. The length of the contract suggested this was a long-term transformation.

But yeah, if we aren't bowling next year, the seat will be hot in 2022.

Never like a loss but I think Coach Collins opinion at the half was accurate. Need more energy. The team just needed more leadership tonight. Also I didn’t like our game plan early on O. Young team to start and depleted. If we played that team last week we coast to a win.

What was with our wide receivers “just jogging routes” according to the announcers.

We got a bunch of “loafers” on the team at WR???

I will guess we have receivers that are frustrated. Clearly we are a better rushing team than a passing team.

For a sizable segment of the game, I just wanted it over, regardless of the fact that we were still in it. That befan 1st and Goal farce. was one of the most disheartening ordeals I've ever experienced as a Tech fan.

I am all-in for the future under Collins, but the failure of him and his staff to instill basic discipline in his players is beyond excusing. We helped NCSU in ways they were incapable of helping themselves, and we did it in embarrassing and frankly moronic ways at multiple moments of truth. This was a winnable game, even for where we are as a program, and could have been huge for what we are trying to accomplish going forward. Instead what we got was a performance riddled with what I can't decide was apathy, idiocy or some some hitherto undiscovered hybrid which does not, and never will deserve to win a game.

I said it once already, but the team and especially the staff should be ashamed of the way they represented Georgia Tech tonight. Usually I would reserve that for instances like brawls or cheating, but the lack of effort, focus, and leadership we saw tonight fall under that category for me.

It was a pathetic display by all involved, and maybe the worst of all is that it's what they gave us after the noble and brave sacrifice of @whenyousaybud

There's never an excuse for what we saw tonight and I hope I never see it again.

Would have been nice to only have been down by 7 on that last drive after kicking at field goal at the half rather than going full dumbass. May have prevented P’nope from going stupid with his his play calls and take stress off our overrated freshman qb. Collins is not a good coach.
And who is better than our "overrated" QB, genius?

That was a curious comment. Do some of our receivers think they won't get the ball no matter what?
