For a sizable segment of the game, I just wanted it over, regardless of the fact that we were still in it. That befan 1st and Goal farce. was one of the most disheartening ordeals I've ever experienced as a Tech fan.
I am all-in for the future under Collins, but the failure of him and his staff to instill basic discipline in his players is beyond excusing. We helped NCSU in ways they were incapable of helping themselves, and we did it in embarrassing and frankly moronic ways at multiple moments of truth. This was a winnable game, even for where we are as a program, and could have been huge for what we are trying to accomplish going forward. Instead what we got was a performance riddled with what I can't decide was apathy, idiocy or some some hitherto undiscovered hybrid which does not, and never will deserve to win a game.
I said it once already, but the team and especially the staff should be ashamed of the way they represented Georgia Tech tonight. Usually I would reserve that for instances like brawls or cheating, but the lack of effort, focus, and leadership we saw tonight fall under that category for me.
It was a pathetic display by all involved, and maybe the worst of all is that it's what they gave us after the noble and brave sacrifice of
@whenyousaybud
There's never an excuse for what we saw tonight and I hope I never see it again.
