NC State Roadtrip

I've been researching a place for us to get dinner and watch the evening games after our beat down of NC St. Are you familiar with the Tobacco Road Sports Cafe in Durham on S. Mangum St.? It looks like a good place and Duke will be on ESPNU playing FIU, so I figure the Duke fans could be out watching. Also, Clemson and VT is in the evening. Any advice?

Tobacco Road is decent. There are a lot of TVs so you can definitely watch the games and a good beer selection, however I find the food to be bland and generic.

However there are a bunch of restaurants in walking distance in that area as ee8384 said. A good location to do some bar-hopping, several sports bars around. You're definitely on the right track.

Also lol @ "Duke fans could be out watching."

EDIT: I was referring to the Tobacco Road in Raleigh, not Durham. You should go to the Raleigh area since it is closer and more choices.

4 flying in Sat AM. Section 3 - Row DD ( maybe a good omen for Daniel D.... HA ) . Flying out Sun at noon. Any not to be missed, killer places to eat that night ? Not fancy .... Any info on GT tailgating locations ? How strict are they on open containers outside the stadium ?

Plastic cup is always best- but they are pretty calm.

Bought my tickets through the NC State website last week. Just checked and it indicates they are sold out. Not the best seats, but we are still there. Hope this one goes better than last year in BDS (that was painful to sit through).

Stoked about being in 'Biscuitville Country'. That place is the truth for breakfast.

I guess we should go to the Raleigh location. We have a tee-time in Charlotte on Sunday morning at 10, so I was hoping to drive a little after the game. The 2 locations are probably only 20 minutes apart, though. Maybe my brother-in-law will agree to be the designated driver.

Is there a seat available in the road trip caravan? I would like to go, but it will be just me. I will contribute to gas, food, and alcohol purchases.

If I can get a ride, I will buy a ticket. Thanks.

I can even buy a one-way ticket up if someone will commit to giving me a ride home.

There was someone that posted this week looking for a ride, I'll see if I can find the post.

Dixie Classic Fair was awesome. If you go, definitely get the deep fried cheesecake with strawberries and vanilla pudding on top.
