Starting thread for hopeful matchups, reactions, etc. Keeping Clemson feels like a must. As far as anyone else it can’t be much worse than Louisville and Wake, so somewhat excited.

I am genuinely interested in the kind of model they've come up with. Saw a few comments proposing a pure 8-8 split (no permanent rivals) where you literally just rotate the teams every other year, as well as a 2-7-7 model if we go to a 9-game conference schedule. I wouldn't be opposed to either.

Hope the Techmo bowl comes back

And as someone who lives in Dallas it would be pretty convenient for me if we had games on the road at SMU

Reveal starting now. 16 matchups protected. 11 preserved, 2 restored, and 3 new ones with the new schools

Seems like I've said this a lot, but my interest in college football goes down a little more each time something like this happens. This time it obviously hits closer to home.

We have no protected matchups. Lost Clemson. Clemson-FSU protected

öööö the ACC

In coming up with the new scheduling model, athletic directors from each school collaborated with the league to help determine the matchups they wanted to protect. Ultimately, the league ADs approved the new scheduling model. In the case of Georgia Tech and Louisville, both schools agreed they did not need any games protected, and that allowed the league more creativity and flexibility in arranging the entire schedule.
