New Coaches

My only regret is Clown got replaced by Belichick's son before Bo got to run 180 on him between the tackles. CPJ probably would've come to see it.

"Yo shawty it's teh B-back!"
I'd like to see Clown try to defend 11/12 Twirl.

Bo's good people. Glad he's back on board. He'll do good work at Tech before he takes over at Southern in 2026.

And this is why UNC is a basketball school (and lately not even a good one) with writers attempting to comment on football.

What happened with Errin?
No specifics, but this is the rest of the AJC article

The addition of Mathis fills a role vacated by Errin Joe, whom Rivals reported no longer is part of the program.

Joe had been with Tech since 2023 after spending the 2022 season as assistant director of player personnel at Alabama.

From 2018-21, Joe was a member of Tech’s football staff, first as a graduate assistant working with the Yellow Jackets’ offensive line. He held that role for three seasons before moving into recruiting as Tech’s associate director of player personnel in 2021.

As a player at Tech, Joe started 16 games over his final two seasons from 2014-15. He started the final seven games of the 2014 campaign at right tackle, helping anchor an offensive front that led the nation in rushing with a program-record 342.1 yards per game.

"which has been the most successful sport in the school’s athletics for years."

I think their women's soccer program might have something to say about that. 23 national championships and all. Men's hoops probably does rake in more cash than women's soccer.
But money ain't ever been the problem at Chapel Hill, even for football. Recruiting ain't been the problem, either.

I imagine men’s hoops brings in more money than football at UNC. That’s why it is going to be interesting to see how Belichick can manage to get a larger cut of the money UNC has to divide up.

You probably pay more for the high dollar seats at Dean Dome than at Kenan - there are more games too at the Dean Dome than at Kenan - but having been to both several times, UNC football also isn't hurting for support, particularly financially.
But after Mack 1.0, they went through Carl Torbush, John Bunting, Butch Davis' failed return to the college ranks, some interim dude and Larry "Six-Pack" Fedora, before dredging up Mack again.
That's one forgettable list of coaches.

If there is one college football program in America that even a NFL HOF coach won't be able to turn around, it's UNC (Stanford/Bill Walsh second). It's a tarbaby in Chapel Hill.

He will spend one year there then go back to the NFL leaving his son as the new HC.
