Next Priority

Need an OC, OL, WR Coach before turf... Those hires may decide if we traded a 3 win coach for a 5 win coach or 7 win coach.... Can worry about the turf after those hires IMHO
I cannot agree more. I think the OC choice will make or break us. Key needs to find an OC with some balls and ability to keep defenses guessing. Far too long have we been boring with the offense. With the right OC, we could win 8 games. With the wrong one? Expect 4, maybe 5 wins.

Especially with the players we are losing on D this offseason. Offense will have to step up and take the lead next year.

Pyron getting several games against real competition this past season could end up working out perfectly for us.

Pyron has a lot to learn, to get to that point. Really depends on the system. I think he didn't do well in the make shift RPO, we had. He needs to work on tuning his mechanics and learning how to read defenses.

Somehow our OL seems to have awoken… we finally have a chance to move forward. And our QB has been phenomenal at the end, here’s hoping a full season of attention can move move Pyron, etc up quickly.
The OL is literally growing up. The new S&C hire will of course be instrumental in the development of the squad going forward.

After reading this forum for the last few weeks, I’m disinclined to trust your opinions on a) comma usage and b) QB mechanics circa 2022.

I’m not ready to anoint anybody on the team as the next Joe Hamilton, but I’ve got some confidence that we can be competitive with them.

Haha...you again with your expert assessment of QB mechanics. Like I offered to you once before, if you're man enough to put yourself out there like this, hit me up with a private message and I will gladly invite you to one of Zach's throwing sessions with a very legit QB coach. My guess is you won't....but the offer is there. So until you can describe what you think bad mechanics are without using phrases like "chicken winging" then I think you should refrain from trying to share your so called knowledge of the QB position.

And as an FYI, I will defend any other QB that you try to share your "expert" opinion on. You know nothing and have proven that on your own...

Next priority? OC. We’ve got a very talented young QB who plays tough, a much improved OL, and a solid RB corps. WR will have some question marks after all the talent that graduated/transferred, but a couple of highly touted guys that should be ready for some PT. With a decent OC we should really be able to move the ball next year.

You are free to ignore my comments. I'm sorry I have a different opinion. You are so busy trying to shut my comments down. I get it. Your kid. I call things as a I see them. I don't dance, I don't tell stories and I don't sugar coat things. I will stick with my opinion. We need a scheme to match the QBs abilities. As for your "offer"? No thanks. I don't know you, don't want to know you and can trust you none. No thanks. As for me being a man? Thanks.. douche bag. I have done more, seen more and regretted more than most anyone on this chat. I lost my best friend from a sucking chest wound, while holding him, trying to get him into a helicopter. So eff off, with your "man" öööö. You get yourself a Silver Star and we can talk, asshole.

I agree route running will help with the QB play. It's hard to determine who is at fault with some INTs. Never know if the WR ran the wrong route or if it was a bad pass. Plus having more than 2 seconds to throw a ball. The O line was really up and down, to me. We need some consistency with play. With that said, the D has to produce more. When you are playing catch up, it makes the team one dimensional and teams can tee off on the QB.

We were 7th in the country in turnover margin and the D was much improved after Collins’ departure. I’d like to see better pressure on opposing QBs, but the fact is that the O was putting the D into bad situations and not the other way around.

This will be the last post that I put on this matter. If nobody wanted my opinion, don't ask for it. I will be happy to correct myself when I get shown that I am wrong. Until then... There is not one thing to say different. I appreciate the mob mentality, leftist attacks. Shows me exactly who you are. I will plainly turn this topic off, now.

Too bad it wasn't.

Turnovers is often a product of bad play from the other team. I am more interested in seeing 3 and outs and yes pressure on the opposing QB. If we can get some sacks, that would be great. All I know is, we don't seem to be very attacking on the defense. We seem to take a lot of punishment and get pushed.
