Next Year....how many do we win?

Duke lost a very good football coach, just like we did when we lost a Gailey or Johnson. However, in Cutcliffe’s case and with CPJ they were struggling with recruiting and clearly the trajectory they were on was downward. Whether or not the decision is a good one depends on the replacement. If you bring in a good coach who can energize the players and fans who gets the job done on the field, then fine. With Gailey, the problem was losses in close, winnable games. Turning around a couple of Dawg games and beating WF in the ACC championship would have kept Chan at Tech for a long time to come.

I do agree with your depiction of Chan's alternate trajectory . It is unlikely he would have been here a long time on the other end because he made himself an active candidate for other hc positions in the last few years .

Any less than 7 should be an end to this nightmare. I predict we're somewhere around 5.

We're going to need a miracle OC and the O-line to improve exponentially to turn this thing around in one year. I just don't see that happening.

I say 2 wins is optimistic.
That's optimistic? I don't think that word means what you think it does.

...and if it happens there will be a great purge.

I predict 6 wins and a bowl game.
the great purge should have already happened. bowl game. no way.

this is like the year the Falcons should have fired Dan Quinn but instead fired assistants and he made himself DC. just led to another lame duck season.

as i stated above my opinion could change based on the coordinator hires.

I think we go 5-7, but show actual improvement on both sides of the ball. Western Carolina and 4-4 in the ACC. Beat UCF and we could make a bowl.

I'm convinced that we have the potential to go winless.

Again, I think a lot of this relies on the new OC and if they can properly utilize the huge amount of talent we actually have now.

I'm projecting we MAX out at 3 wins again; winning only 2 is a realy likelihood unfortunately. Then the clown show is over. they all get in the little clown car and drive away. Better football begins in 2023 ???

No clue until we see who the coordinators are, the signing class, incoming and outgoing transfers, etc. Between 4 and 8

Clemson is expected to not suck.
Obviously, but they were pretty mediocre this season, will they get it going on offense again? I assume they will have a different QB but thats an unknown quantity

Is Clemson expected to be much improved next season?
According to a Clemson friend of mine, the Tiger D this year was, as usual, great, but they didn't have a QB whom they could depend on. He says they already have either a 5-star QB commit, or are heavily going after one
