Huh? CGC would’ve been justified in yanking Sims after he missed a wide open receiver in the end zone. Yates should play bc he played better. The injury forced CGC’s hand but if Sims loses the start it’s not due to injury, it’s due to poor play.I don’t really agree with this; not disparaging Yates at all, but the starter shouldn’t lose his job to an injury. Yes, Sims stunk the place up before he was injured, but he didn’t have a chance to come back and show he had his head on straight.
Giving the starting role to a backup after the starter was injured (and recovered) was one of the things that caused Lewis to lose his team.
But I would expect Sims to be pulled if he continues to play poorly.
